South Plainfield Middle School is a coeducational institution that serves more than 600 students in grades seven and eight. It offers a variety of educational, extracurricular and athletic programs. Its academic curriculum includes applied arts, mathematics, social studies, computers, physical and health education, Spanish, music, reading, language arts and science. The school has a parent-teacher organization that organizes book fairs and cultural art programs. It offers various athletic activities, including cross country, field hockey, football, tennis, volleyball, basketball, bowling, soccer, baseball, golf, wrestling, track and lacrosse. The middle school is a part of South Plainfield Public Schools, which employs more than 300 teachers and specialists.
