This company repossessed a friend's car. They charge a $50 fee to obtain your personal effects out of the car. In this case, those personal effects include a number of instrumentalities necessary for my friend to run his business. I pointed out that he cannot make the money for the fee without getting into the car. They refused to budge on this issue, despite the obvious catch-22.
