Also patiently waiting are CEO's, construction crews and anyone else that has discovered this hidden gem. Darby Dan's serves much more than sandwiches, but their rocking sandwiches are their stock in trade. If you are unable to devour a typical sandwich special that is piled with three meats, cheese and slathered with garlic spread, mayo and a kicking jalapeo relish please bring a friend. The counter staff provides you with more than your choice of eats, they joke with regulars, discuss your varied choices, all while their hands slice, grab and stack at an amazing rate. Customers are riveted in place, never leaving the spot directly in front of the glass case where their fabulous feast is build, lovingly wrapped in paper and nudged down the line to the cash register. These six Piccolo's are eagerly waited for back in Denver.
