Gwen cut my hair last week and did an excellent job. Staff is very friendly and the place is in a convenient location. Pricing is more than fair. I would highly recommend!

Cons: Unclear if the pedicure tools were sanitized. The nail files looked like they had not been cleaned. The nail technician dropped the nail polish brush on the floor. She did not clean the brush (aside from picking off something stuck) and put it back in the bottle like nothing had happened. A bottle of PVC cement was on one of the tables next to the pedicure station. I've never been to a salon that hasn't washed my hair before cutting it - the stylist cut my wavy hair while it was dry.



Pros: Friendly staff. My haircut looks cute. My mom's toenails look nice. The price was $20 for my haircut and $30 for the pedicure.



Sanitary practices are important to me. I will not return.

They are the only salon that has every tried to cut my very long, thick hair dry?? Even after I asked for a wash, they did the worst haircut I've ever had. I asked for side bands, and they literally cut a solid chunk out of the side. It looked atrocious! And if that wasn't bad enough, I also asked them to layer my hair and the only did ONE side!! It looked so horrible, I had to have my aunt (who had NO professional experience) fix it, and she even did a better job! If you live in South Williamsport, I highly recommend Holly from Shear Impressions, or Jamie from Shear Textures!

I had a wonderful experience! I came in for a haircut and the salon itself has a wonderful set up, compact but not too tight. I brought in a few pictures of the haircut I wanted, and the stylist made short work of it! Very reasonably priced, and now I have a great haircut. I would definitely reccomend la chic!

I got the Pampered Princess package for my mom and myself. The services were great, the girls were professional and friendly. We felt that we got personal attention and walked out feeling refreshed. Lunch was included in our package, so we ordered from a variety of salads (which also came with fries and garlic bread) that come from a deli across the street. I think that they could provide better robes; mine was piled and somewhat ragged. The manicures that we got as the last part of our package were disappointing; although Mom and I hoped to enjoy a treat of beautiful nails all week, even an hour later, the paint (old?) took forever to dry, and once it did, the tips nicked of so easily. Still, overall a fun treat!

HORRIBLE customer service. Scheduled an appointment - when I got to the appointment 10 minutes early, the salon was closed. I called the business nuber and got an answering machine. I left a message requesting a call - no call back. I called and discussed with the owner who apologized and acknowledged buts she was NO HELP. Idiots. No call. Can't tell you if the SERVICE was good or not SINCE I NEVER EVEN GOT A CALL BACK AS PROMISED! Don't waste your time even setting up an appointment - who knows if they will be there!!

I'd never been to a day spa, I'm not a girly girl, I don't have allot of extra cash, nor am I one to be waited on. I have to say, I was very pleasantly suprized. I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I haven't been that relaxed in years ( I really can't remember when ). I had the works. My day started with a massage. It was perfect. The sea weed and peppermint body wrap was to die for (I'll have another for sure). A very nice, peaceful lunch from the Valley and then THE FACIAL. Just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any better, OH MY! IT was AMAZING. I didn't want it to end. Gwen (the owner/operator) provided the facial and I can't recommend it enough. I wrapped up with a pedicure and manicure. The staff are very professional, however very plesant and easy to talk with. My husband had advised me prior to arriving that they appeared to be upscale, thus I expected less personable, uppity service, but have to advise the contrary! You will not regret going to La Chic. The atmosphere, all services and the facility are perfect. Absolutely superb!~
