It all started in 1919 when Harry T. Allen Sr. opened Allen Coal Company in Mt. Holly NJ, to supply the community with their energy needs. After only a few years in Mt Holly, Harry decided to move his business to Main Street in the village of Vincentown, which was a thriving commercial center of South Jersey. With Ronald's dedication the business continued to grow. In 1991, Ronald decided to add a full-service propane division, at which time the name went from Allen's Oil to Allen's Oil and Propane Inc As the propane division grew it was time to expand. In 1994 the the Hammonton NJ, office and storage facility was opened with the ability to store 205, 000 gallons of propane. Since that time Allen's has opened two more storage facilities.Elmer, NJ ( 2005 ) which has 108, 000 gallons of propane storage and Red Lion Road and Route 70 in Southampton, NJ ( 2008 ) which has 120, 000 gallons of storage. As of today, Allen's Oil & Propane Inc has a customer base of over 10, 000 customers, and continues to grow everyday. Thanks to Harry T. Allen Sr., who had the insight on what a community needed, Allen's Oil & Propane Inc has prospered and hopes to continue to carry on the family owned and operated tradition, into the 4th generation and beyond.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! So not nice girls in office are cold and rude!!! They need to go to customer service classes.

2 - 100 gallon tanks only needed 1, refused to take 1 away wanted $500 deposit for both & fill also, way too much to lay out at once $718 for gas + $500 = $1,218. You'd never know they are in the people business...so not way to run it. Lost customer for life, would never recommend to anyone and definitely tell them not to use Allen's if asked.......Went to Penn Jersey in Medford girl in office very nice and helpful.

stay far far away! We unfortun...

stay far far away! We unfortunately had to switch to them when we moved and have had nothing but headaches ever since. They are slow to deliver. If you don't pay the $1000 delivery upfront and they use the "credit" option., they have a woman in the office that I will not name, who will call and hound you every month. Even if you have sent money to pay on your account, she will still call you and demand more! She is very rude. She will insult you and threatened to turn off your service immediately if she doesn't get another payment. Its horrible! Especially in this economy when fuel is so expensive and people cant pay $1000 at once. You'd think they would want to keep good business around and not run people off. I say find another company...that's what we did!
