I worked there a while back and i can tell you right now as a former worker there, I was never once impressed. Now I'm not just saying that out of some grumpy lazy worker, I'm saying that as in what I had to endure working there, from being treated unfairly to even cruely. The owner always schedules the teenagers beyond child labor law, they schedule you on different days without any notice, they change your schedule without telling you why or when. EVERYONE KNOWS the women get paid less than the men. They don't adequately train you on everything you could be asked to do(for example, how to mix paint) or don't train you at all, which causes a lot of screw up. The teenage cashiers know more about the cash register than even certain managers! We had a coworker that was out for a month because she had a stroke, and when she came back they just gave her a 5 day a week schedule and that's it. No asking if she was ok, or if she will be ok in the long run.... Absolutely terrible place to work!!!!!!!!

Why list a phone number if no one answers?! The various times I've been to the store they were not busy at all and could certainly take a quick phone call. Ridiculous and frustrating! Will only shop here when no time to run to another store...

They have a pretty good selection of things I need, but the customer service has been bad for the 25 years I've been shopping here. I have a business in the area and am committed to giving local merchants my business. The owner is usually nowhere to be found, the manager is good and so is a younger fellow who really tries to help, but I haven't seen him in ages. The older woman at the cash register is mean and dismissive. The younger women who work there are nice but pretty much clueless.

It's easier to go to the Sears hardware nearby where the help is great and knowledgeable, male or female. Lowes and Home Depot have better customer service, too.

It's a shame because over the years they could've gotten thousands of dollars of my money.

Great place. Friendly people. Ignore all the bad reviews. This place has hard to find Christmas lights.

The reason they can't answer the phones is because they're always busy.

Friendly and courteous employees. I honestly do not understand the bad reviews!!

I wish I could give this business 0 stars. Horrible customer service. Manager that worked yesterday 01/04/16 was incredibly rude and insulting. Spoke to my 74 year old father as if he was a child. Yelled at him and refused to give him the contact information of someone else. Avoid this business at all costs.

I went there to get some replacement pipes for my kitchen. I had to replace a garbage disposal and found that one of the pipes had rotted. so I figured I'd just change the whole trap setup. not being familiar with plumbing I went right to the customer service desk to get some help. the woman at the desk used her walkie talkie to another employee named jack. she told him to meet in the plumbing aisle. I went to the aisle and waited and waited. I waited for over 20 minutes and no jack. I went to the customer service desk and the same woman was there saw me coming and walked away. I have worked in retail full and part time and never treated customers this way. this is the worse store I have ever seen for customer service. I left and went to lowes and was helped right away to get all the parts I needed to finish the job and advice on how to make sure I did right. strathman is now off limits to me and many of my friends. i will never shop at another ace hardware again.

IVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR 30 YEARS....I ONLY GO IN THAT STORE WHEN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARRY....THEIR RETURN POLICY IS DISGRACEFULL....THE MANAGE MENT IS HORRIBLE... THEY ARE MOSTLY OLD CROTCHETY MISERABLE PEOLPLE THAT HAVE 0 PEOPLE SKILLS.... STAY OUT....WHATS LESS THAN 1 STAR
