i agree with big mistake to buy with this store. been waiting 4 months for my chair cushion to be fixed and were told 4 weeks max to get it done. i am extremely dissatisfied with the way they won't even return my calls. i've been patient but sitting on a broken cushion for this long is unacceptable, especially since it broke after only having the chair a month!

Always pleased

Have done business with the store several times and everyone is always pleasant and helpful. Any problems have always been dealt with promptly and courteously. I've been given special deals, made returns, and even had a chair replaced after living with it for several months. Even the service men that came to the house were pleasant and helpful. Nothing but praise for this store!

Big mistake buying at Great Am...

Big mistake buying at Great American home store. They carry poor quality product from china. And once there is manufacture defect on your product, here come the poor, uncare and rude customer service. Once you paid and the product is out of their door, It is out of their business. That is how irresponsible they are. They make you pay extra for their mistake. They are liars about their products, about their mission statement . Don't make the same mistake like I did. or you will be regret

Does anyone else find it inter...

Does anyone else find it interesting that most of the positive comments on this page about the Great American Home Store were written in the span of a couple of days by reviewers whose member names end with "123"? It seems to me that some of their employees were logging in and generating fake reviews to boost their overall rating, which is sad.

Over the years, I have purchased a few odds and ends from the Great American Home Store. My first purchase was a cheap, tweed recliner for my college dorm room about six years ago. I paid $299 for that recliner, and that thing is a champ. It has withstood two moves and numerous other forms of abuse and still holds up like it did the first day I received it. My second purchase was a queen-size sleigh bed, which I bought on sale for $699 about four years ago. I had to reinforce the portion of the frame that supports the mattress with a little MacGyver ingenuity, but it too is still in pretty decent shape. The pillow top mattress and box spring set are very comfortable and squeak-free, which is great. My most recent purchase was a dining room set (can't remember what I paid for it because it rarely gets used), but assembly was a snap. It is a very sturdy table and none of the chairs wobble or squeak when shifting positions at the table.

*I must note, however, that I picked up each of my items from the warehouse personally. I did not have a single piece delivered. If you have the available resources to pick up your items yourself, please do so, so that you may inspect the items before leaving the warehouse.

Overall, the Great American Home Store is one of my first "go-to" stores when I need some new furniture, and the sales staff are generally quite friendly. They have a wide selection from which to choose, and their products have held up so far for me. Again, I do find it odd that someone has logged on and artificially inflated their ratings, so take their overall score for what it's worth.

I will NEVER go back!

I will never go back to the Southaven store! The customer service is TERRIBLE!! Yes, I like the furniture, but due to the salesman, Phil, being rude and arrogant, we will not buy anything at this store! We were about to spend $3000 cash on a bedroom suite, but wanted to sleep on it and be for sure in the morning. Phil did not like this and got upset and became very rude with us. The sad thing for Phil and GAHS is that we would have more than likely gone back. Now, we'll never go back. Hopefully we'll find the same bedroom suite or something very similar somewhere else, because there is NO way I will ever go back to Southaven GAHS.

LIARS!!! BEWARE!!!

Very nice people up until they get your money, good luck after that. The Great American Home Store does not stand behind their products. The extended warranty company they use does not either. Let me explain.

I bought a $4,000 sectional leather sofa from them. Within 2 months The leather started to come off the couch in 3 different places. They came to fix it with dye pens, but it looked like someone colored on it with magic marker. We then called then to tell them how unhappy we were with the results and that it needed to be replaced or returned. They wouldn't do it because they don't sell the product anymore. I asked the service man why they didn't use them anymore, and he said that the company they used had lots of problems like mine for example. So they sold me a couch, but they won't stand behind it.

I called the warranty company to come fix it, because the sales guy said "they cover everything." They denied the claim, but also they don't cover most problems with the couch. So the $400 5 year warranty I bought is pretty much useless.

I have talked to everyone in the store including the manager. So my options are to take them to court, and then picket both of their stores until my problems get solved. I will show up couch cushion in hand and show every potential customer what they have sold me and my experience dealing with them and the warranty company.

I also have a business that has a reader board on Goodman Rd in Olive Branch. I would say thousands of cars pass by everyday. It will say. "Do not shop at the Great American Home Store, come inside and I will tell you why."

Oh btw I did buy an $1,500 entertainment center from them as well. The product looked amazing in the showroom, but the one I got looked like it was put together by kindergartners. The doors did not line up and some didn't even open or close correctly. They said they would replace it and every month they said it was on the way. 6 months later no replacement. I told them to pick it up and they did and refunded me the money. I also have a $2000 mattress from them, I guess its near impossible to screw up a mattress. This is the reason I gave them another shot, wow what a mistake.

My 4 bedroom 2 story home that I will be closing on shortly that will need furniture in every room will not have any furniture from this company too bad for them.

I would suggest shopping at Ashley Furniture their products are A LOT better compared to Great American Homestore.

See ya at your store, Great American Home Store, I will be the one stopping every car that comes into your lot.
