March 5, 2013 I went into this Branch after being release from Providence Hospital from having an Astma attack. ( I ask my doctor to release me this day) by the time I was out of the Hospital the bank was still open ( Thank God !) I got out of my car ran in the door it was 4:50, started walking in a lady came out "sighing" I thought the door was locked. One of the banktellers response "it was" I continued walking to the front counter, The lady said to me "Mam I'm sorry but we are closed I said it's not 5:00 yet she said our doors were locked. (well how did i get in?) So I said are you telling me I can't get money out of the bank she said no I'm sorry we are closed. I told her I just got released from Providence Hospital (which is around the corner) Today is the last day I can pay my rent (because I was in the Hospital on the 1st) Also my so is turning 16 yrs. old today I plan to have family member over have some Cake Ice Cream, pop, juice and Spaghetti and sing Happy Birthday ( my son is disable) but he know his Birthay. The lady said Mam we are closed. Finally we walked away got into my car turn my car on the Clock said 5:00 p.m. (the bank is now closed) I told my son Momma was sorry, I would see what else I can do. .. The very sad thing about all of this is that these people see me come in the bank (because I always have on a pink mask) So it's not like I don't bank there, usually I go to Berkley Branch but I chose this bank simply because kroger is next door and they sell Pretty Birthday Cakes so everything I needed I could get from there. (well so much for that). For this reason I am giving this Bank a 1 star, it is 6:19 a.m. Wed. morning, I am up because when 53 opens up I will be going there to take my money out and close my Bank Account for good. I have been with 53 for 9 yrs. (now I will be going to the credit union). Also be careful when you go to this bank, (especially in drive -through) because there is a lot of traffic there, so you have to be watchful of people walking up along the side of your car. (you will get robbed) over there so go correct.
