We did not have a good experience here at all. I do not recommend this place because of the owner’s unprofessionalism and lack of character through lying.

We have had a wonderful experience at SGA. The coaches and owners are very knowledgeable, encouraging and positive. My girls have both loved their time there. The equipment is high quality and impeccably maintained.
It is obvious how much pride they take in the gym. It shows in the level of coaching and the attention to each individual athlete.

Went to a day camp there.Said hello at the check in desk with 2 employees sitting there took 2 Min until they looked up. After class the kids told me the coaches were mean and ugly to them would not even let them have but 1 water break in 3 hours? Had 3kids wanting classes weekly not any more or ever!

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!!!

They make kids cry out kids in trash cans! The owners don't care or help angry parents!!!!

honestly if you are looking in to gymnastics or tumbling go to top flight ! The coahrs leave the gym to smoke! And make kids climb the rope if they don't do something perfect! Don't go here

SGA could be a great place but...

SGA could be a great place but it is turns out to be just better than nothing. The facilities are okay but very crowded. They seem to have to many kids with way to few coaches. They hire people who learned gymnastics coaching with books---kind of scary. I think the place could be really good if the staff cared enough to make it good, but bottom line always wins out...money, money, money! The more kids you get the more money you make. Quality training is available but in very limited quantities.

My name is Mark Seyler and my wife and I own Southlake Gymnastics Academy. I want to thank you for your feedback, we accept all criticism and strive to use it to make our program better. I'd like to address each of your points. First, we follow strict rules for our instructor to child ratios. We do a maximum of 6 to 1 in preschool classes and a maximum of 8 to 1 for all other classes and teams. These numbers are inline with industry standards and match what you will find at other gyms in the area. We also follow an up to the minute, schedule for each and every class. It may look like the gym is crowded but each class has its own set of equipment that is their's exclusively for every minute of every class at SGA. We pride ourselves on our coaching staff and our staff gets better and better all the time. This is a result of good screening and hiring along with our ongoing education program. Our education program includes, in house training, third party outside training, online resources, and also reference and training manuals. Gymnastics is a highly technical sport and is constantly changing, every skill is documented and assigned a point value and performance criteria. The book for the men's program alone has over 500 pages of skills. It is literally impossible to memorize this entire book and you will frequently see team coaches referencing this manual. The level of care our staff has in making SGA great is a matter of preference and I do take our feedback seriously. I personally believe we have one of the most caring staffs around with a commitment to excellence and wholistic desire to improve young children's lives. We can always do better and we strive to continually improve. I welcome you to come back and give us another try, hopefully you see a marked level of improvement in the year since you made your observations. Thank You Mark Seyler

This gym was one of the most ...

This gym was one of the most unorganized gyms I have ever seen. Not only is it small it is crammed full of kids. They have special needs classes taught by someone who yells at them for not following directions immediately. There was a blonde woman who must have been in a terrible mood because she made this kid climb a rope more than a dozen times and he couldn't have been over 6. Lastly, I had the privilege of overhearing the owner talk about several parents while I was there. She seems nice, or so I thought, but when you heard what she had to say, she was terrible. This is a transitional gym. If you need a place for your child short term -Go here. If you are looking for long term you wont find that with Southlake Gymnastics. I find it curious that the owner of SGA has the same name as the other reviewer mseyler.
