My treatment was a nightmare! I went to him as a 50ish-year-old patient whom he obviously lacked knowledge. Unfortunately I had sent two children to him and like probably most parents, allowed them to experience undo pain because I thought...they are supposed to hurt. They are braces.

Initially he put several wrong brackes on for a head gear. I only went to straighten my lowers. After months and months of wax and chuncks out of my cheeks, i got him to do something. His remedy was grind them off with no water as my tooth was so unbearably hot. Maybe it cracked then?

Barrows allows his assistants do most of his work. One put in a lower arch wire that was way too many gauges off. I sat up all night with ice on my face. When the office first opened I called for stronger pain pills. He said no one needed them. I bothered him so much he agreed. When I got to the office the girls were amazed at how much my teeth had moved. Barrows never checked my mouth! But gave me the Rx. I later needed gum surgery because of this. The moved teeth left such holes in the socket that my body couldn't fill them fast enough and within one year I needed low gum surgery. They cut a hunk from the roof of your mouth, sew your lower lip, implant and gums together and wire your jaws shut. Thanks Barrows so fun!

I constantly had wires gouging my gums so I took magnifying glasses and jewelry tools I had and after every appointment I would fix what his flunkies had done.

Once the treatment had caused an upper tooth to loosen so much I had a dentist look if he had broken at the root. I finally went to Narrows to remove them all DONE OR NOT! He wanted his girl to remove the bracket and she refused.

He put retainers in my mouth and I was furious when my front teeth blacked into my bottoms without the molars hitting. I demanded he remove them and he refused. I went to another orthodontist and he said he needed Barrow's permission. I returned to him again, and finally got it out. I was so mad I never did his after mold crap.

I wanted to sue him and put him out of business so he wouldn't do this to other kids especially. Because I feel so badly I didn't listen to my kids! However it is very difficult to find professionals to testify against each other.

All I can do is warn people. He doesn't know what he is doing and his people especially don't know what they are doing.
