When I was younger, I had always been pretty skinny. Mainly, I think, due to smoking cigarettes. I really forgot to eat too because I was always keeping myself busy. I always DREAMED of a pill that you could just take for food so I didn't have to think about what to eat and when. I never have liked to cook and then to go to the Grocery Store and figure out what to get for dinner or lunch was frustrating and painful. Needless to say....I did not eat that well, just grabbing what was easy. THEN, about 6 years ago, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I BEAT IT! YEAH! Although, through the process of Chemo & Radiation...I learned what "Comfort Foods" where. I had to eat often to keep my stomach calm. Mostly bread, pasta & eggs for the protein. And of course, I QUIT Smoking. So, during the process I gained 30lbs. Not to bad but my old unhealthy habits where still around AND now I knew what "Comfort Food" was! BAD combination! I put on another 20-30lbs! (My weight fluctuates a bit. Can you relate?) 50-60 lbs of extra weight is not fun to carry around. I did try some Protein Shakes to try to have for breakfast, but they were gritty and had this weird after taste. (My taste buds are very picky with after tastes, especially artificial sugar and wine. Now, Protein Shakes) I thought GREAT! There goes that idea!
