Provided by YPmobileDo not use this auction house to sell your things, very bad experience.
Very disappointed in this auction house wrote down wrong description of the product I was selling. when talking to the representative they kept changing the number in which they were charging me. didn't have one of my items listed when I was told it was. everything I had mentioned about the description of the product was never put down which would have helped it sell better.
I will never use this auction house again !!
I am deeply apologetic your item was not described as you requested. Also without anymore information I feel I cannot respond in great detail. Typically if an item is not described the way you requested, we must of believed the item to be something else. Once again I am sorry but please feel free to contact us and we can see how to amend the situation even better.

Provided by YP.comI sold a digital camera. The BUYER paid sales tax plus 15% buyer's fee. It sold for $150. After Lightning Auctions took their commission I received $97. Both buyers and sellers are fools who use this service.

After researching this incident I am sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase. The jewelry sold at Lightning Auctions is from consignments, estates, bankruptcies and items from trusts. The appraisals are provided by the seller of the piece of jewelry. Lightning Auctions does not send anything out for appraisal. AIG appraisals are definitely higher than typical. If you check our auctions you will see the majority of appraisals do come from local appraisals right here in Northern Nevada such as Michael and Sons of Sparks. I believe the purchase price of this ring was about half of what you had it appraised for. Once again I do apologize you found the appraisal misleading but AIG appraisals should only be considered and fully researched just like all other appraisals.

Provided by YP.comBEWARE of Jewelry sold at Lightning Auction House. I recently bid and won a large tanzanite ring from Lightning. It came with an appraisal from a California appraiser AIG (not GIA). AIG appraised the ring at $25,550 which Lightning Auction proudly displayed with the photos of the ring online. I knew the AIG appraisal was ridiculous so I had it appraised by two local independent GIA resident graduate appraisers. One appraised it for $8,500 and the other $10,100. It makes you wonder what other unscrupulous tactics these people use to get your money. AIG has had its name mentioned or linked to other auction house scandals. Why would Lightning ship their jewelry all the way to California for an appraisal from a company that charges more then our local appraisers? I have purchased other items in the past from Lightning and had a good experience. It makes me sad to see Lightning stoop to using in, my opinion borderline fraudulent documents to make large profits. Where is the integrity Lightning Auction?
