The Sparks Police Department, governed by the City of Sparks in Nevada, provides crime prevention and protection services for citizens. It operates patrol, detective, administration and records divisions. The department s crime suppression unit assists patrol and detective divisions with the investigations of individuals and chronic nuisance locations. The Sparks Police Department also has a K-9 unit and offers volunteer opportunities. It handles more than 4,000 false alarm calls annually. The department investigates commercial, residential and vehicle burglary cases. It additionally deals in theft and assault matters. The City of Sparks operates fire, public works and finance departments. The city government s community development department provides current planning, code enforcement and engineering development services.

This isi the worst police depa...

This isi the worst police department I have ever seen. I have a camper and got a 48 hour warning to move it because the tongue touched the sidewalk, fine I moved it . The guy 1 house from me has a larger camper and it sticks out on the sidewalk and street and his is still there and I have neighbors that have 3 cars tat dont run and 2 are blocking the sidewalk and nothing. I called the poilice and complained took them from 12:30 pm till 8:30 pm to finally show. The one lady was rude on the phone and said she did not have time for this may I add it is the public and thatis your job, the officer had time to leave a warning on my door to move mine? Sound like favorites to me.

I have had several issues with...

I have had several issues with this agency, I have lived in the Reno/Sparks area for over 21 yrs. and Sparks Police Department is the worst, unprofessional, in my opinion the most anti-social department. I just hope no one have to deal with them because they are the worst and that's coming from someone who moved from LA, CA. The supervisors or Sargent are no better.
