Provided by YP.comI recently moved to the Spartanburg area and within a week I started having a problem with one of my teeth and it was very painful. I called around to dentists to see if I could find one that would see me that day and really lucked out. Dr. Fowler's office had me in within an hour. They were very courteous and concerned since I, to be perfectly honest am not a huge fan of dentists, was rather nervous. I was seen right away and after a quick X-ray was diagnosed with an abscessed tooth. Dr, Fowler gave me prescriptions for penicillin and a pain killer and made me an appointment to come back in a week. His assistant made sure I knew to take all of the penicillin so that the novacaine would be effective during the extraction. The pain pills knocked the pain from the abscess out right away. When I went back the next week for the extraction I was seen right on time and once again the staff was very courteous. I can tell you that Dr. Fowler is absolutely the best at giving shots of novacaine of any dentists I have ever been to and I have been to many, many dentists. The tooth was removed and he made sure I still had some pain killers and the staff sent me home with instructions on how to care for the area of the extraction. I even received a call from his assistant the next day to see how I was doing. I recommend Dr. Fowler very highly.

Provided by YP.comHe filled my 5 year old cavities, mine, and my husbands after doing rounds of xrays and cleaning for all of us. My 5 year old had to have every tooth pulled that Dr. Fowler filled because he sealed in more decay. My son had to undergo dental surgery because of Dr. Fowlers neglect. My husband and I also had 2-4 more cavities that Dr. Fowler didn't see on the xray or just didn't feel were important to correct. My husbands filling fell out and left him in some serious pain and my tooth feels crooked that he filled. He gladly took our insurance payment of over $1400 for the cleanings and work he supposedly did......but left us with a HUGE dental mess and more bills in the end than we'd have had, had we done our homework and bypassed this phony. He has poor bedside manner and has my child terrified of going to a dentist. Ironically, the last day I was in paying off my bill, the receptionist was arguiung back and forth with some lady that had had a root canal and had gone to another dentist, since Dr. Fowler refused to fix it, who told her it was a botched job and her tooth was going to have to be removed. She was demanding compensation or at least a refund of funds paid......and the receptionist informed her that they weren't interested in helping her. (but they took her money to put her in pain right) CROOK! I'm suprised this guy is still liscensed.

Dr. Fowler did not find the cavity in the upper molar at the check up and I had to point him to it. It was a bad sign and I should have left his practice at that point. He also said he was an hour behind and asked me to reschedule. I decided to give him an opportunity to do the filling based on his all positive reviews and his years of experience. I was wrong. He looked at the x-ray and said that I had a root canal done at this tooth and did the filling. There was some problem with the band that the doctor placed on the tooth and he had to cut through the material between the teeth at the end of the procedure. Filling had an overhang. Immediately after the procedure I started to experience the pain in the tooth. It did not get better in 2 days and I came to get the filling redone. It turned out I did not have a root canal at this tooth. He redid the filling, but took out too much material at the end, so now I have a problem with the bite and have pain in premolars at top and bottom jaws. I also got my upper lip infected with something like cold sores the morning after treatment. I am a lot worse now than I was when I came to his office for treatment.

Provided by YP.comDr. Fowler and his team are good, nice and friendly people. I've only been there to have my teeth cleaned but over the couple of years of going to them they have been wonderful. The only thing I would tell you is if you can't make an appointment that you've made with them call them and change your appointment to another day because they will charge you $35 if you miss that appointment without changing it. Don't cancel it either they say they'll still charge you $35. But you can't blame them most doctors charge you if you miss an appointment now a days.
