The City of Spartanburg Parks & Recreation Department maintains more than 350 acres of parkland, nearly 20 basketball courts, over 10 playgrounds and approximately 10 baseball fields. The department also maintains more than 10 tennis courts, over five picnic shelters and several walking trails, gymnasiums, swimming pools and amphitheaters. In addition, it operates a football field and baseball stadium. The city department coordinates a variety of festivals, concerts, activities and special events. The City of Spartanburg Parks & Recreation Department organizes summer playground programs, homework clubs, and aerobics, yoga and dance classes. The department is located in Spartanburg, S.C.
