Did two year long programs a few years apart. Helped me kick my opiate addiction. Introduced to me to the fellowship of AA which has been a good support system. Loved the intimacy of closed groups. The majority of my group peers were serious about recovery. The new owner was my counselor both times for intensive outpatient. He and his wife are both passionate about recovery. It costs a lot for treatment, but it is worth it. They have groups made up of the families which is very helpful. I don't know a lot of the new staff, but I've heard nothing but good reviews about Patrick as a counselor.

If you are looking for a alcohol assessment because you were court ordered to get one, this is NOT the place you want to go. I was recommended by my legal representation to use "Assessment Treatment Associates" but they were booked and I wanted to get my assessment done before my court date. To say this was a mistake and waste of money would be an understatement. They make their money by assigning treatment. If you don't need treatment, they don't make much money, so guess what I was recommended? Six months of treatment.

So, after getting that news, I tell my lawyer and he explains that the "alcohol treatment" is one of the biggest rackets out there because they can basically tell you whatever they want and you have to accept it.

After this, I went to the place my lawyer recommended and was told, "No, you don't have a problem with alcohol." and was recommended the minimum 8 hour course.

So if you really WANT a bogus assessment, this is the place to go. If you want an accurate assessment, talk to you representation, or use the company I mentioned earlier. You'll thank me later.

Jeff is right, horribly unprofessional staff who treat you like a criminal. Jason Goodwin did my drug evaluation and accused me of being dishonest when all I was doing was telling the truth about my past. Jason Goodwin proceeded to not call me back with my results for 2 weeks and was to busy going out for cigarette breaks during my evaluation to complete it properly. If you are trying to get a court ordered drug evaluation go to Social Treatment Opportunity Programs they will treat you with respect and dignity, and not like a criminal. Colonial Clinic is a scam and they just want your money, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Beware of this place. When you see high employee turnover, you know something is not healthy within the agency. The owners only care about money, and will fudge whatever they can to scratch up business. This means altering paperwork to "make" people addicts when they are not, and then making you go to "treatment" for two years. The owner is a narcissist, and his wife is in charge of making sure they are grabbing the money. They are not nice people. They also make you go to Alcoholics anonymous whether you want to or not, and they will make you do UAs for no reason. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The counselors and staff here really seem to care about the clients and our well being in recovery. My husband completed the year long treatment program after attempting to quit drinking at 2 other out patient facilities. As far as the other negative comments, sometimes when you don't hear what you WANT to hear in an assessment it can be difficult to take in the information and you look to blame the counseling staff. The family program is excellent! They billed our Cigna insurance with no problems. Definitely 5 star rating. Thank you Colonial Clinic!

Jeff hit the nail on the head! Don't go here! Didn't take washington insurance and wanted to charge me $10,000 for treatment. Told me I needed 2 years of treatment before even checking my UA. She tried to lead my answers and would keep asking the same question till I gave her the answer she wanted.
