I am so very happy to be wearing contacts again thanks to Dr. Heavin Maier. I wore hard and semi-gas permeable contacts for over 30 years before my contacts were uncomfortable to wear. I was told by many eye doctors that I could not wear soft contacts because of my astigmatism. So, for the past 10 years I was wearing glasses. I hate glasses! Dr. Maier said she thought I could wear soft contacts. She spent a lot of time making sure the brand, fit and prescription was perfect. In addition, she was able to fit me with contacts so that I do not need to wear reading glasses. I was so happy I kept thinking “FREEDOM” from glasses and went right out and purchased sunglasses for my outdoor fun. Thanks to Dr. Maier’s thorough exam and fitting my vision is great with my contacts and they are very comfortable!! In addition, I purchased some very fashionable eyeglasses for my late night reading. Dr. Heavin Maier and her staff are awesome!

Our family has patroned this clinic for years and will do so for years to come. We highly recommend Dr. Maier and her staff to all. They are all knowledgable, patient, and courteous. The entire experience at Eyes for Life is top notch.

Very friendly staff Alisha and Wanda on the phone. Very quick to get me in. Dr Meier was very thorough and kind. She was great to give me all my options. I highly recommend Eyes for life.

My husband and I went there for each of our eye exams. From the ease and pleasantness of making the appointments for us from the friendly and accomodating staff to the professional and thorough experience with the doctor, I can only recommend them highly to everyone. We bought several pairs of glasses and the quality of the frames and lenses is amazing! You have one set of eyes in this lifetime, I wouldn't trust anyone else!

Went here for a much needed and long over due eye exam. I felt like Dr Meier and her staff did a very thorough exam and were not rushed. She took the time to answer all of my questions and there was no attempt to "up sell" me on any additional services or even glasses for that matter. The office staff is friendly, courteous and efficient. It seems they have a very good selection of glasses, including the designer brands like Tiffany & Co, Gucci, etc. I plan to return here every year for my eye exams.

Great knowledgeable staff...extremely helpful when looking at glasses options and patient with me well I was attempting to learn how to put in my new contacts... highly recommended

I called to schedule my son very late in the day and was invited to come in for an appointment without hesitation. I previously brought my infant son into the ER for an eye condition and was unhappy with the results. Dr. Maier was very willing to give a 2nd opinion and offer her expertise.

I had such an amazing experience at Eyes For Life! Dr Maier was extremely thorough and has great bed side manner. And the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable each time I call or any time I am there. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family!

Dr. Maier was so caring and attentive to my young daughter. She made her feel comfortable from start to finish. I will be bringing my other children to see her as well and HIGHLY recommend to any moms looking for a kid friendly eye doctor.

I have found Dr. Maier a most up-to-date and precise doctor. She has invested in the latest equipment to ensure the most accurate diagnosis possible. The staff is friendly and caring, too. I compared my charge with prior ones and when it was higher, I called and asked why. I was given the explanation clearly (it was a change in my HMO) and most politely. Very caring and compassionate.Perhaps Dan would be happy with just an eye chart. If there is a problem with what the insurance pays, the person to address is the insurance company. I love that upon leaving she gives you a coin and directs you to a wall that has several charities on it, complete with a list of services they provide. Underneath each is a little box so you can choose which charity you would like her donation to go to.

Dan (in an adjoinining review for Eyes for Life),I find your post interesting. I too did the very same thing. (Compared total prices of similar products with and without insurance at EFL, and other area stores.) I found their prices to be very similar. It sounds like you have an unreasonable / personal irk with this company rather than an objective viewpoint.

They are interested in making big buck sales 1st and eye-care second. Be very informed if you go here. They immediately push a test on you that isn't even covered by insurance! I guess they have to pay off the expensive machine. It's more expensive to go here WITH insurance than to go elsewhere WITHOUT insurance.(I actually tested this out.) They should be ashamed!
