Take your business to Community Cremations! If you are looking for a place that has compassion versus the need to make a quick buck, do not send your loved one to Hennessey Funeral Home! The minute my father's body arrived at the funeral home, the director Ashley, immediately tried to charge us a $300 viewing rate. I was completely baffled--but fortunate that I had already got to spend time with my dear father and say my goodbyes. She tried to tell us it was due to sanitation---tacky. It really felt like she was working for a commission rate. The face of your business should not be ran by someone who is snakey and eager to profit off of your grief. Hennessey needs to re-evaluate her position, and perhaps retrain her. It is unacceptable to allow someone to treat their customers like that at such a sensitive time. You never realize the hidden costs that come in to play when a loved one passes, but it is all about presentation, class and compassion. We immediately requested that he was to be transferred to Community Cremations, and there they handled my father's affairs delicately and compassionately.

It has been almost 10 years since my dad died. It was not an expected death and quite a shock. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home helped us through this difficult time. When my mom died almost 2 years ago, there was no question where her service would be held. Chuck Hennessey even recognized her from her picture which I thought was really special. I am about to attend a funeral of a close friend of our family and it will also be at Hennessey-Smith...thank you for all you do for people. Naomi

Last year, my husband passed suddenly. My church directed me to H-S because my husband was to be buried across the country in his home state. The funeral director and staff were FANTASTIC- so kind, understanding, guiding, no high pressure to buy expensive coffins. All the arrangements they made were perfectly handled and were beautiful. At Christmas time, they had a memorial service for all who had passed last year and, again, it was beautiful and kind. I ran into the funeral director a few months later at a friend's funeral and he remembered me and asked about me. Pretty impressive! I highly recommend Hennessey Smith.
