Bad company won't honor warenty made a lot of excuses not to fix the problem but never did wish I would have gone somewhere else tired of dealing with them very costly to me

I was in a pinch to get back on the road again and Motorworks and their staff we're very helpful prompt and understanding they got me back on the road and three days and not a problem since. matter of fact they insisted when I return to town but they change the oil and give it a once-over I'd recommend them to anyone

Motorworks did not honor their warranty. This business sold me a cheaply remanufactured engine with a head gasket that did not seal. They first gave me the run around for several months, then hung up on me as I tried to get them to warranty their work. Avoid them.

If I could give zero stars I would give zero stars but unfortunately you can't. I bought an engine from motor works for my 1965 mustang fastback... it was a 396w stroker motor that they claimed would put out 400hp and 375ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel. Well I order the engine and drive over to spokane from seattle to pick it up and before I did I asked for a 164 tooth flywheel. Of course when I get home I find out that it's a 157 tooth flywheel so I called them up and shipped it back to them in which they sent me a 164 tooth. That one must have been some cheap chinese built flywheel as it didn't fit on the back of the crank shaft and wouldn't line up with the bolt holes to even get the flywheel on. They then sent me a third one in which the same thing happened... well after paying $25 each time to send each flywheel back to them I'd had enough and just asked for a refund so I could order my own flywheel, one that I knew would work and fit. I get the motor put all together and ready to install in my mustang and it has great oil pressure, never over heated ever, but there were two issues with it... first off it had no power above 3,500 rpm and second it didn't feel to me like 400hp. So I took the car to horsepower ranch dyno tuning in auburn to get it chassis dynoed and the best we got was 283 rwhp which at 20% hp loss would get 330hp at the flywheel. Now after spending $3300 I wasn't going to be 70hp and on the dyno sheet you could see the torque plummet after 3,500 rpm, an indicator of the wrong camshaft. The guys at the horsepower ranch said that the cam was the wrong cam, the stock cast iron heads that had no port work of any kind were way too small and so on. So I called them up to file a complaint in which Valerie, the manager, didn't want to help me. So I got the better business bureau involved and then got a part number from motor works for the delta camshaft that they used and it ended up being an RV cam for trucks towing trailers and whatnot. So the BBB found in my favor and a partial refund of $1200 was issued to me but I emailed Valerie and asked just for the full refund minus shipping if I sent their motor back to them. They were definitely interested in getting their motor back and I got my $3300 back less the $70 for shipping, which I still don't know how you can ship a 500lb motor that cheap, but that's a different story. Got my complete refund as I didn't want some cheap motor that was 70hp shy of what it should have been, with the wrong cam, stock cast iron heads and who knows what other issues in my car. So I bought a 351w off eBay from a guy in Rhode Island who builds engines and this engine puts out over 450 hp/torque and has aluminum heads, the correct camshaft, etc. All in all... don't spend your money at Motor works, there are plenty of other better machine shops out there that will build you a much better engine with less issues. I'll admit the reason I chose motor works was because of their prices... I thought $3000 for a motor that puts out 400hp is a swinging deal, but as I've learned the hard way... "you get what you pay for"!
