I honestly didn't care to much for the place, it was not that great of a place. The gym was small, the locker rooms were scary as hell, and the staff should be retrained. I have count numerous times watching the life guard listening to music and playing with his phone while children were playing in. Their was a mentally challenged kid that nearly slipped into the pool and could of been seriously hurt. Their collection department is the worse people on the world, Their name is CBS Collections, if you wanna know their name.

After reading the post from schuetzle and Fakebuk I realized I should also post my agreement with both people. The facility and equipment are run down and in desperate need of repair. Not to mention we had the exact same thing happen to us. They tried to charge us for not cancelling our membership in writing and leveled all kinds of late fees against us. They filed a lawsuit against us to collect the late fees and "unpaid membership" They (the manager) claimed they did not receive the written notice I hand delivered to the front desk cancelling our membership the previous month. We tried to call and discuss this multiple times and went as far as letting them try to collect since they would not listen to us. We then produced the banks returned cashed check, endorsed cashed by North Park where I had further written on the front of the check - "Final Payment - membership to be canceled as of the next months date". when I gave them the copy of the check the week before our court date, they said they had gotten it but it was posted it to the wrong account!! No apology for the months we fought with them or that they put us through hell defending ourselves. BAD BUSINESS!! Sounds like it was not an accounting issue... how many others have gone through the same thing with them?

Hands Down Worst Anywhere! The equipment and building are impoverished; the staff, and even its members are arrogant. There seems to be an odd ratio of kinship and proxy friends to the owners. It really feels like you are working out in someones 1940's home; deep in the bowels of the the basement or attic. The haughty self perception of owners; staff and fat boss locals, is a stark irony from actual reality.



Oh and the 'mean mugged' good ol' boys who, literally, come out of the equipment closet (god knows what they do in there) own the place, and make damn sure everyone in the joint knows it. This adds to the ambiance and general feeling that you are actually working out on a Alfred Hitchcock movie set, staged in some dank old high-school gymnasium.



The 'attitude' of this place is over the top and earns my time to rate it as the Worst Health Club anywhere!
