I thought moving out of my house after 40 years of collecting, saving, forgetting about and filing away reams and rooms and closets and drawers full of stuff, would be a punishing, Herculean chore. I’m so glad I came across DeAnne Wilfong and her company, Smooth Transitions. With her help and guidance, the tedious job of examining stuff and deciding what to do with it was transformed into simple steps that required very little effort on my part. I simply indicated what I wanted to keep, and she took care of all the packing, selling and donating details I had been dreading. Her sense of organization and recommendations for complementary services – such as hauling, storing, cleaning and moving services – were invaluable. In the end, when she “staged” the cleaned rooms, my house never looked so inviting! The reasonable cost for her services would have been worth it for the staging alone!
