Provided by YP.comI do not share the negative experiences that others have left about this business. I have always found access to be much easier than other licensing offices and the agents seem to work very efficiently. They are always quick.
Licensing offices are sometimes approached by patrons who don't have their paperwork together or are missing some important documentation when they arrive. We can get frustrated when we are all in a hurry and we don't have what we need to complete the transaction.
Some of your reviewers say they will never go back to this office. I say just the opposite, it is the only licensing office I would go to. I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and courteous. This is unlike other licensing offices I have experienced around Spokane.
Thank you for your great service and kindness.

Provided by YP.comIt is 10:45 on Friday. Been trying to call to see if I can get handicap placard for husband who recently underwent knee replacement surgery. I don't want to make special trip if they don t handle this. Recording says they are currently closed but info says should be open 10-5 today. What's up??

Provided by YPmobileI was in to renew my tabs as well today and had the same experience as the previous reviewer. They do not take credit cards, and told me I could go get cash or use a debit card for a two dollar fee. My card was swiped multiple times, and I couldn't help but feel ripped off. I will never go back there.

Provided by YP.comHello South Hill Auto Licensing,
I was in your office at 2727 Mt Vernon St. Ste 3B, Spokane,WA 99223 on June 4th. I came in with the intention of renewing my auto tabs, but your credit card processor was apparently having difficulties, and you were not able to process the licensing fee. I am very grateful for that.
Before running my Visa card the first time, I was informed by your customer service representative that, "because I was using my debit card, he needed to tack on an additional $2 fee for its use." He did give me the option to go get cash and then come back, at which time I declined. The card was ran four different times, on two different credit card terminals, resulting in 'non-transit' of funds.
You just never know who is going to walk through your door, and I want you to know that I have worked in the Merchant Services department of a major band processor in years past. It was very clear in the Visa/Mastercard Merchant regulations, that any merchant that has applied and has been accepted to take major bank cards with the Visa/Mastercard logo is prohibited from tacking on additional fees to the consumer.
Please stop doing this, as it can result in your membership to take Visa/Mastercard, being revoked. I have contacted Visa/Mastercard Merchant services about this instance, with this email. Furthermore, I will not be back in to get my license renewed with you this year.
I have included the verbage from the PDF document about "Category B: Visibility to Customers" and highlighted the area I am talking about. I also put the link to this manual at the bottom of this letter, so you can look for yourself in regards to this, or any other regulation involving electronic banking with Visa/Mastercard.
Furthermore, if your processor is regularly having problems keeping their network up, you may want to go with a different processor. There are many around now, so finding a local one will not be a problem.
Cheers, and continued prosperity in your business,
