They found room for us on a busy opening fishing weekend! Clean bathrooms with wonderful instant hot water! Pet friendly! Great pricing! We had fun dock fishing and will be back! Thanks for the great weekend!����

My husband and I just spent another very enjoyable weekend at Fishtrap. It is always clean, and the owners are always so friendly and helpful. I've never been anywhere else where the owner goes out of his way to help set up your RV and provide leveling materials. Also, our hose wasn't quite long enough to hook up water and the owner graciously provided us with one. Watching the bald eagles and other wild life is amazing. We love going to Fishtrap Lake and can't wait to go again.

My friend and I spent some hours on the lake. When we came back to the boat ramp the resort owner was a huge jerk. I will never go back. I'm not sure if he was drunk or he's just a crabby a hole..but the experience was awful.

The owner of this resort claims to be dog friendly and was fine with us bringing our two large dogs but when he walked through our campsite and one of them came up to great him, like dogs do, he threatens to SHOOT him. The then told us that we were not to bring our dogs back. My brother-in-law asked around and he did the same to a few other people that weekend with larger sized dogs.



Hook ups for our RV were barely accessible and we had to run our hose through our neighbors camp site for water. Only one RV prong hook up for a two site pole; thank goodness we brought our extension cord and adapter.

I have been going to this resort for nearly 40 years. It is an awesome place with docks for the non boat owner, no noisy PWC or water skiers and a quiet, natural environment. You can see deer,eagle, osprey, herons, fish and my favorite HUMMINGBIRDS! There are RV spots, tent spots and permanent spots. There is a little store with munchies and some fishing stuff. The owners do there best to provide for everyone but get rid of mosquitoes??? REALLY?? That is part of nature. I just spent a week there and yes, I have a few bites, but with spray and a citronella candle, the time spent in front of my rv with friends was very enjoyable. I have recommended this place to anyone who would listen! BTW, to the previous reviewer......I do NOT believe that the female owner would have responded to your complaint in that manner.......I don't know her well (like she isn't my best buddy) but she is a professional, caring person in her work life and I KNOW that attitude carries over to her business life.

This is the worst place we have ever stayed at. If you are willing to put up with ALL the mosquitos (I came home with 49 bites & the others with me had at least 25 each), no hot showers & not even a bite in 4 days of fishing then by all means try this place. We used 6 cans of bug spray with DEET & it only slowed them for a minute, they even bit thru our clothes. Our trailer site was in the front yard of an on site trailer which would have been OK but they showed up with little barking dogs. I called the owner when I returned home (& spoke to her about the bugs & was told in no uncertain terms tough! I was told "I deal with mosquitos every day of my life! What do you want ME to do?" I suggested they spray & she said "We can't spray the world!" She was very nasty with me on the phone. We will not return here ever!!

To one and all, this is the place to go. Nomatter if your young or old,somewhere in between, in a wheelchair or just a abled body person. This IS the place to go. I am in a wheelchair and they have made camping accesable to me again. They are the friendliest people, who are always there to help. So if youre looking for a good place to fish or just relax this is the place for you to go.
