I’ve rented bobcats from Ma & Pas three times without any trouble with the machine or service. However, my last experience was quite the opposite. Rented a bobcat for a week and got a flat tire on the fourth day at two o’clock. When I called they told me they had two people out sick and had no one to come change it. Ma suggested I do it by digging under the wheel. It was a back tire and they don’t just lift off the ground easy, mind you I’m a stay at home mom with three kids and I’m 115 lbs soaking wet. The whole point of getting a bobcat would be to not have to “dig” manually. I worked for two and a half hours to get the back tire off the ground. By four thirty I was hot, sweaty, dirty and pissed… I then had to drive an hour round-trip to pick-up the new tire and wrench. After I got home, I had to ask my husband, who had just gotten off work, to change the tire. When I asked about comp time with the bobcat Ma said they would give me an extra day. I said that was fine and acceptable for all my trouble. When I came to return it; the story had changed and Ma said they would only give me four hours comp time….. It took at least five hours to change! Not to mention frustration and gas money! I thought I was being nice by changing the tire and they were being nice by giving me a little extra time…. Not so. Lier! Then they wanted me to pay to fix the flat…. The tires were all bald with gouges and slashes when I got it! I had even asked the guy who hooked-up the trailer if the tires were going to make-it. He assured me they were good…. Ha! Ma even had the nerve to say they were only 6 months old.... they must have got them second hand from the burn pile at the dump. Ma said I must of hit a rock. I’m drilling holes for a horse arena…. Since when do you see rocks in horse arenas? I had to pay $108 for an extra half day and $13 for fixing the flat. I will not be going back.
