For a registered nurse it is a hostile work environment. The Administrator embarrasses staff in front of their colleagues at weekly meetings, this has been going on for years and she has lost many good nurses but the behavior continures. The scheduler is verbally abusive to nursing staff. The DON is unapproachable and tells the staff to call the supervisor who is over-worked and on the phone all day. RN's order supplies that aren't purchased, unable to follow Dr. order without proper supplies. When in office scheduler will not give nurses admission folders to keep in car. She tells nurses, "Drive here and get them (60 miles round trip) that's what you get the big bucks for." The slogan for this company should be: THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES.
I worked here for two years, I have been an RN for 29 years and it was the poorest work environment I have ever been at. The day I decided to leave this agency was the day I relaxed. I now work for a company that TALKS THE TALK AND WALKS THE WALK. When they say their company is like a big happy family, they SHOW it.
