My adopted 9 month old German Shepherd, Carly, had her (OSS) ovary sparing spay at Silverthorn Animal Clinic with Dr. Gerald Johnson. Dr. Johnson was AMAZING!! and he took his time to examine my pup before surgery, and to fully explain the procedure and what I should expect afterwards, and he took time to answer all questions I had, and to x-ray and examine my pup's hips to see if both were affected with dysplasia or not. The rest of the staff at Silverthorn was extraordinary as well; everyone there was very kind, happy, and accommodating, even to let my pup come in the exit door to avoid seeing other dogs, since she can often gets overly excited and barks.

I drove two hours to have my pup's OSS surgery here, and I only wish this vet were closer to my home, so I could make them my everyday vet; they are that Awesome. Oh, and during the procedure, my pup had bloodwork and an IV, and was sent home with antibiotics, pain meds, and a soft comfort cone, instead of one of those hard, plastic cones. They also allowed me to have my pup's teeth cleaned, and to have x-rays taken of her hips while she was out to save on time and anesthesia costs, and her nails were given a complementary clipping as well. The soft cone is great to keep on my pup during car rides and whenever she's crated and not wearing her suitical recovery suit for her, which is awesome. Thank you, again, Silverthorn doctors, specialists, and staff!

I took my dog to them,they told me she was hurt really bad so under distressed I sign my dog over.I thought she was going to die.They fixed her,but there keeping her,going to adopt her out.I'm happy to say the staff and I worked it out and Lexi is back home.I'm so glad.

I have been showing and breeding my dogs for over 20 yrs. and have lived in several areas of the country so I have used MANY veterinary clinics for my dogs needs. Dr. Johnson and his staff are one of the best. They really show caring compassion not only for your pet but for you as well. Dr. Johnson blends conventional veterinary medicine w/ holistic to best care for your pet. And should you need chiropractic care he can quickly do that. I highly recommend Silverthorn Animal Clinic.

This is a great place .. holisic and convential approach. Great for the athletic dogs. Very friendly staff, works with you for appointments, open Saturdays. Dr. Johnson loves the animals and so does the staff.

We recently moved to Brooksville and didn't have a local vet. When our older Dane needed vet care we were recommended to Silverthorn. We heartily recommend Silverthorn Animal Clinic for your pet needs. Our older Dane, nearly 11 years old was fit into their schedule on the same day and Dr. Johnson and his staff showed compassion and professional care in our time of need. Dr. Johnson is a consummate professional and is the only certified canine chiroprator/accupuncturist in the southeast. He has advanced experience not only in the traditional approach but homeopathic as well.

Based on other veterinary opinions, my rottweiler would have been lame and would have had an advanced arthritic condition.

My rottweiler now has no atrophy in his leg and has full range of motion along with being in good health.

Dr. Johnson will always be used as a primary veterinarian/consultant for all my show dogs. We are indebted to him for what he does not only for our canines but others as well.

This place is awesome. They are a brand new clinic and I went in right when the doors opened. Right away, I was greeted with a friendly staff. The doctor was very knowledgable and gave me some options as to how to go about my dog. I was expecting a higher bill but it came out to be quite cheap ($87 to be exact. For some medicine and inital visit fee) I will def be back to bring my other dog. Dr. Johnson, thanks so much!
