Got a coupon in valpak for carpet cleaning by American carpet.
They day of my appointment, the cleaners showed up 2 hours after the 3 hr window allotted to me after several phone calls made by me to see what was going on. Once he showed up (Vince, a co-owner) recommended a Deep cleaning. Taking his advice we agreed. After the treatment was done, he proceeded to dump the chemical filled discharge water on my lawn! After the carpets dried, they were very crunchy and stiff.

The next day I called the office to issue a complaint. They said I needed to make another appointment to have it evaluated. A few days later it was the morning of my appointment, no one showed! No phone calls either! I took off work to make it happen because I was anxious to get my house put back together. I called to address the issue and was treated poorly by the operator. 3 hours later I got a call from vince. I began talking and he immediately started talking over me, he even continued to laugh at my situation. I did not once receive an apology from anyone for anything that happened in the multiple bad experiences I had with them. They only offered to have me make another appointment and rinse the carpet with no guaranty that the residue would come out. (They advertise soap free no residue left behind...) they also do not have a truck/van mounted cleaning system. They use a much smaller less powerful set up.

I opted out of their services due to the horrible experience I had with them the first time. I used my neighbors bissell to rinse the carpet and it cleaned better then their equipment! I sincerely hope no one calls them for their services.

This is my second time using this company and have had consistent results they completely removed some very bad urine stains and odors from our rental property and carpet I swore was garbage looks and smells brand new even 2 months later Thanks Jason and Danny you did a fantastic Job

Dan from American Carpet Cleaners is a real douche bag thinks he knows everything would not trust him to wash anything. I had problems from the start with him. first it was a no show then it was his lack of professionalism and bad work..

Twin Cities friends: avoid "American Carpet Cleaners" at all costs.



Set an appointment for them to stop by today between 9-11am. They called at 10am saying they would be late and would call back around noon.



At 1pm, I had to call them. They stopped out at 120pm and didn't have the right equipment even though I told them I was on the 2nd floor of a condo.



They said they would call back right away before they sent out someone with the right equipment.



They called back at 210pm and said they couldn't get anyone out today. It was obvious from the person (Jason) who stopped out, and the phone call, that they couldn't care less. No apology. Nothing.



My furniture is all stacked up, ready for carpet cleaning, but I can't do business with a company that does this sort of thing.



Avoid them.

We bought a Groupon deal for carpet cleaning for our residence to prepare it for our walkthrough as we are relocating to a different state.



We called to make an appointment at 952-303-9066. The company was scheduled to "carpet clean 3 rooms and a hallway" for $59 and arrive between 9 and 11. When we scheduled the appointment we were not told to expect a call to confirm someone was home. At 10:16 a single call was made to my wife's phone, no message was left. Not knowing the phone number from 952-220-5809 and not being told when scheduling that a confirmation call should be expected she didn't answer it.



At 11:29 she called the number back and found it was the company and the dispatcher said the window was missed. He said it was our fault because he left a message when he called. There was no message (and phone logs are available to support that). The dispatcher was rude, argumentative and called my wife a liar. They claimed there was nobody home (though we and a family member and our neighbors were all in the living room with the front door open the entire time waiting for the company).



Finally he agreed to see if we can "just get it done" and hung up.



At 1:58 we received another call from 952-220-5809. The person said he was the owner and this was to say they were able come out. At 2:32 they called to confirm someone would be home.



The person arrived in a white unmarked van. They were told that we were interested in a staircase being done in place of the hallway. They informed us there would be an extra charge for each step. The person demanded a hard copy of the groupon coupon (an atypical practice and not previously mentioned that this atypical request was to be expected) and insisted this was only a maintenance cleaning. No such phrasing or qualification was anywhere in the listing, on the coupon or on their own website.



The person basically spent 15 minutes to have the discussion, get water, wet the carpet and leave. That was for about 500 sq ft.



When I called the guy was immediately on the defensive, claimed there were two women at the house, he called 3 times and left 3 messages, that he offered and explained what a deep cleaning was (all of his assertions were false) and called me a liar 3 times during the 8 minute conversation. He said he is the field worker, co-owner and dispatcher. I told him, after letting him talk about how this rug wetting service normally costs $160, that I have had these services done and never has that kind of space been completed in under 15 minutes and found to be acceptable. He asked, "if you've used others then why call us?" "I mistakenly thought that being on Groupon meant you were interested in expanding your customer base and I was giving a company a shot to earn new business with referrals."



Anyway, that is our experience with American Carpet Cleaners, aka Vinny's Cleaners, aka ABC Cleaners (after some research I have discovered that the 952-220-5809 number has been associated with each of these business names within the past 5 years.)



*** UPDATE ***

The owner got in touch with me and apologized for the whole experience as well as graciously (and quickly) sent a full refund. He also mentioned that the problem that was central to the service issues has been rectified.

Very bad service, one guy came and seemed like he didn't want to be there, was in a big hurry. He didn't move any furniture, went around everything, did a poor job, overcharged me, was charged $585.00. Was only at my house for an hour. Still trying to get money back. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Loved the visual inspection before and after the vent cleaning service. I could not believe the difference! Very friendly and professional stuf.American Carpet Cleaner Comp. I will gladly recommend to all my friends in need of cleaning services.

A guy named Vince and his helper did a really good job cleaning my dirty carpet .You guys saves me a lot of money because I thought I just have to replace it but then I thought I have to try you guys and I did!!Was worth the money and I believe that was the cheapest I found from shopping around. Absolutely recommend this company to family and friends!
