Provided by YP.comI have used this shop since the early 80's or maybe earlier and David has NEVER tried to cheat me! It did take a while to get used to dealing with a patriotic "biker", but I got to where I really enjoyed having a conversation with a real independent American who obviously never heard of political correctness......very refreshing!
Repairs have always been done well and at a fair price, plus I have bought several of his reconditioned mowers and they were all good values.
I can't understand todays wimpy people that get offended by direct, straight talk!
Learn to appreciate "direct honesty" even if it hurts a little and you will be glad you did and you will also have a very good small engine guy to handle your repairs.
I am not related to him, but I do like him for his honesty......Give him a chance!

Provided by YPmobileHe asked me if my asian wife was a stripper. And then accuse me of trying to mess with his mowers and break them. I fix small engines and I know how to fix trimmers

Provided by YP.comOh man. I laughed pretty hard reading the other reviews about this place. I am giving this guy two stars out of charity and I hope other people will give him a chance. Let me say first of all that I went to this guy because my sister's ex-boyfriend used to run a landscaping crew for a living. He always used this guy to service and repair all of his lawn equipment. So, when my sister told me that, I thought I'd go there, too. Well, without going into details, this guy was combative, rude and hostile. At first, I couldn't believe I was hearing my own ears due to the rude nature of his comments. So I asked him to clarify. Boy did he clarify! (Not in a good way.) So I just told him thank you very much and put my mower and edger back in the bed of my pickup. And left. Which was the only sensible thing to do seeing as how he all but chased me out of his shop with a stick.
It's really comical in hindsight. I told my sister and we still laugh about it sometimes. When I asked her why she mentioned this place as somewhere to do business, she said, "Oh well I thought everyone knew he was a complete jerk. But people say he's really good with small engine repair." Evidently, some people claim he's a sort of idiot savant as they used to call them.....you know, like Rainman. Very good at small engine repair, but incredibly ... ummmmm .... developmentally delayed in other regards. (And with a developmentally delayed personality, too, I would say)
But man, I wish him well. I don't hold a grudge against him. And he's been there for YEARS so he must have some satisfied customers. (My sister's ex was a commercial customer of his for some time, as I mentioned earlier.)
Just be prepared for his extremely cranky personality - and arm yourself with a sense of humor.
