Dr. James Parham, who is known to his friends as "Jay," graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May 2013. Before attending dental school, he earned a bachelor's degree in biology/zoology from Texas Tech University in May 2006, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Parham is dedicated to continuing his education in dentistry by regularly taking continuing education courses on a variety of topics, ranging currently from dental implants and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to BOTOX® and sedation in the near future. He has received advanced training in sleep apnea and oral appliances for treating obstructive sleep apnea, and he is currently working toward earning his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Parham is a member of several professional, prestigious organizations, including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Rotary Club of Springdale, Springdale Chamber of Commerce, Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy, and Seattle Study Club of Northwest Arkansas. He was recently honored to be voted as the President-Elect of the Arkansas Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a position he will serve in until June 30, 2015. Dr. Parham will then serve as the President of the Arkansas AGD from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017. Dr. Parham has been practicing dentistry in Springdale, Arkansas since October 2013. His commitment to his patients includes staying current on the latest technology, techniques, and materials available to provide the best comprehensive dental care possible to all of his patients. He strives to improve not only his patients' oral health, but their overall health as well. Dr. Parham is also devoted to giving back to his community as much as possible, and he looks forward to building a long-lasting relationship with the Springdale community and Northwest Arkansas as a region.
