Mouthwatering.

It's been going on 9 years since I last visited this haven of deliciousness, and my taste buds yearn to taste their flautas verde (with salsa made with the fresh herbs they grow right there in the garden you can see from their airy patio) again. This is hands-down some of the most delicately spiced and delicious Mexican food I've ever had. And I eat Mexican every chance I get *and* lived in Denver for several years, where you can't walk a block without passing at least 2 Mexican eateries, many of which I ate at. The subtle, spicy flavors of the food here, compared with the easy, airy atmosphere and the gorgeous view, make for a dining experience you won't soon forget. Probably when I'm old and senile, I'll have forgotten the names of all my grandchildren and how to use a towel, but if someone mentions the Bit and Spur, my eyes will mist over and I'll drool on myself a little. And I haven't even gotten to the desserts yet, which should be, and shall be, referred to henceforth as "mouthgasms". My friend Josh is partial to their flaky, tangy-sweet strawberry-rhubarb pie, and I certainly did enjoy the Banana-Oreo Cream Pie (who dreams these things up? Can I nominate him/her for a Nobel Prize for Achievement of Deliciousness?), but for my money, I recommend the Brownie Creme Brulee. The brownie is perfectly moist, the custard is creamy, with just enough body and plenty of delicate vanilla, the caramelized sugar perfect for cracking with a spoon, and it's topped with a sprig of fresh mint from the aforementioned herb garden. If you think life gets any better than this, well, you're wrong and I feel sorry for you. But you should go here anyway--trust me, it's worth every penny.
