This company stood us up in a nasty way. We had a shuttle reserved through them from the visitor center to the Zion Lee Pass parking lot. 10 minutes before we were to be picked up I called them to confirm our meeting place. Unexpectedly, they told me that they are cancelling our shuttle and gave me a bogus weather and road closure information.

It was a surprise as we just got our permits and the ranger said that all was clear. We went back to the ranger who made a few calls to confirm and told us that the road is clear and the weather looks good. The guiding company did not answer their phone for the next half an hour. After that the helpful ranger just gave us a phone number of another shuttle company. Richard from www.redrockshuttle.com ph.435-635-9104 saved our trip. He came to pick us up in an hour and drove us to the Lee Pass parking area. The road was absolutely clear. The weather was gorgeous. We had a great trans-Zion backpacking trip.

I'm posting this since I'm not getting any answer from Zion Rock & Mountain Guides on the matter. We booked a tour on September 17th (for an October 11th activity) we only got confirmation on October 4th. The shutdown being in effect we asked if the activity was still going through and never got any answer. We also contacted them to get a refund and still no answer even if I emailed them several time, filled their contact form, post on their facebook wall. Shameful service, not reliable.



Maybe they will read this and give me my money back...
