Buyer beware. They do not stand behind their products.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MOHN’S CUSTOM INTERIORS OR LEATHERCRAFT FURNITURE. BUYER BEWARE. Their customer service is deplorable Even actual photos of furniture deterioration taken by his staff were inadequate for them to take action on … Complaints and problems are dismissed and nothing ever happens to address them - never a follow up call. Only personal trips to his store invoked any response and there was no follow up to those either so nothing was ever resolved. In October 2011 I paid Mohn Custom Interiors $10.000+ for a matching set of Leathercraft furniture (couch, chair and bench) based on the great seating of the couch they had as their store demo AND Lou Mohn’s personal assurance that he stood behind his products. When the furniture arrived late November I noticed the quality of the cushions was far inferior to their demo model and immediately notified them of this problem. They dismissed this complaint rather than actually look at my cushions.After 6 months the seats began visibly sagging - the middle cushion was flattened and the side cushions were flattened at the inside and flared up at the outside ends - looking like something one sees sitting out on the street for trash pickup. The chair had metal prongs poking out of the front panel and it had the same cushions. The bench was missing padding and the sides flared out when anyone sat on it, causing creases in the leather. I called and one of his employees came to my house and took pictures, again assuring me that they stood behind their product and would take care of the problem. Even with visible photographic proof of the faults in the furniture and my numerous complaints they failed to take any action. I never received a follow up call.I came personally to Mohn’s Interiors store in October 2012, again trying to get someone to address these problems, and was told they had seen the pictures - assured me they stood behind their product and would repair the items. After no contact again, I went to Mohn’s store the following month. I spoke directly with Lou Mohn who told me I had to wait 12 additional weeks for the Leathercraft representative to come to town - some time in February 2013 so he could bring him to my house to actually see the furniture. At that time I asked Lou Mohn to come personally to my house so he could see all of the furniture himself since he only addressed the problem with the couch.That was my last contact with them, November 2012, and to this date October 2013, they have failed to contact me or address the furniture problems. Neither they nor Leathercraft stand behind their product and their customer service is atrocious.I have little company and the usage of the furniture is very light. The cushions have continued to deteriorate. This furniture that was supposed to last me a lifetime only held up for 6 months. It is extremely uncomfortable and almost impossible to sit on anymore. It was a financial stretch to purchase this furniture and I can’t afford to replace or repair it. This is the only furniture I have in my family room and seeing it every day combined with the bad treatment and false promises from Mohn’s made me ill and i had to stop going there. If photos taken by his staff were not enough visible proof to act on this problem, I’m not sure what else could qualify. I kept thinking Lou Mohn would take the honorable road and do something but I have lost complete faith in his credibility and honesty. I would caution anyone who considers purchasing from Mohn Custom Interiors or Leathercraft to be aware of their actual actions — they do not stand behind their products.

Most helpful when we needed consultation concerning a bedroom remodel.

Louis Mohn'€™s store is breathtaking to walk though. He'€™s also an expert consultant on not only large projects but the smaller ones such as our DIY bedroom. My wife wanted a blue bedroom and the questions were what hue, lighter or bold, as well as what accent colors for trim ceiling and closet doors, etc. Beyond our primary color choice, we also benefited from Louis Mohn'€™s advice in color combinations and proper illumination with lamps and indirect lighting, which makes all the difference in the world. Thanks to Louis Mohn's direction, when people see our bedroom they'€™re taken aback by how much better it looks than had we merely painted it one color and left it at that. We love how comfortable our bedroom is now. In our opinion, the designers and craftsmen at Mohn Custom Interiors are among the best in the trade. We enthusiastically recommend Mohn Custom Interiors. ~ Randell and Daphne Chyprious

Mohn is not a good business to deal with

Buyers beware! While Mohn might advertise they are a quality business, be very careful when you deal with them. In June 2010 we ordered a Capel rug from them. While it was a beautiful rug, when we got it in our home, it simply did not work. We did everything Mohn told us to do to make the return and was told we'd get our money back very soon. That was almost a year ago and still no refund! They don't return our e-mails and they aren't even a good enough business to respond to a Better Business Bureau complaint. A very costly $800 lesson on our part I guess. Please, please, please beware of this business and learn from our expense - their words are empty and their actions (or lack thereof) speak volumes about their business ethics!
