I specifically went to this store at Liberty Plaza to purchase deli meats and cheese. It is a diamond in the rough with exquisite choices of imported and local cold cuts and cheeses. Bresoala and Capicola from scandinavia and a Gelbwurst harvested from pecan fed pigs, imported from Bucharest. The meats are only outdone by the plethora of cheeses. Besides Turkish Roquefort, Gorgonzola, Croatian Brie and Nicaraguan Sirene. They have a seasonal Red Leicester that is breathtaking. Such a selection and at KMart of all places. The prices are more competitive than the local grocer but you can't get farm raised mortadellas from Hudson NY or Port Salut from Dorchester. They even have a Finnish halloumi that spreads like caviar. Check it out! All the meats and cheeses are right in the front of the store in view of the registers with their own big fridge. Slicing is done at the service desk.

This store is a whole lot better than Walmart. This store is cleaner, departments are much neater, friendly workers, they have what I want. I don't get frustrated when I go into this store or when I leave. I dread walking in a walmart. Kmart is 100% better.

1.) the store on liberty street in springfield is NOT closed. It has never been closed and will not be closing any time soon. 2.) Why would anyone rate a store based on thier bathrooms? I can see if it was called "Kbathrooms" but its not. rate a store based on its productivity not its restrooms. 3.) a "leads" technical job title is "department manager" so they are a manager. they do have managers above them, but they themselves have people below them, they are managers. so before people post on this site they should really get a good point of view and rate based on performance.

A poorly run store. Ask an associate where something is and they do not know. A "lead" says she is a manager, when she is not. Did get an associate on the phone who knew what she was talking about and said she would call me back after checking on availability of item i wanted. The "lead" would not even look me in the eye when speaking to me.

Note: The k-mart store on 1277 liberty st. in Springfield has been closed now for over 10 years. I was a regular customer of that store and it was always a great place to shop for kids clothes and back to school items as was their layaway service. The k-mart in Holyoke, Mass. however is a terrible place to shop if you like to be helped in anyway. The employees do not know their merchandise and would rather disappear than try to answer any of your questions. I agree that they all look like they would rather be sitting in front of the TV than represent k-mart. I once waited at the jewelry counter for 20 minutes before the clerk that was summoned actually made an apperearance, then I had to put up with that attitude, signing and eyeballing while showing me the jewelry. I would only go back if the item I needed was over 60% off. I figure they need to pay me for my patience at putting up with their employees. I left the store feeling sad, in this review I was actually kind in the description

This is the Worst store. I ever visited bathroom stalls are not clean and didn't have any toilet paper in any stalls and entrance door was broken and the customer service desk clerk was very rued to there cashiers and to the customers. And If you were to find anything nothing was in the right place. I give the K-Mart in Springfield, MA on 1277 Liberty ST. a Grade F. So I advise never to shop in a trash store like this.
