This place is great. I took my computer in on a Thursday right at closing, they had the replacement parts installed by that Tuesday, and when that part ended up being a dud (which I don't believe was their fault at all) they had a replacement part put in within twenty minutes & of course didn't charge me for the switch out. All the employees who helped me were friendly & seemed to know what they were talking about. Will definitely come back here if I have any more computer problems :)

After getting a virus on my 2 year old Compaq, Zack was able to remove the virus and save me from being down all day. He also took the time to explain how I got the virus and what to do in the future to keep it from happening again.

Altec has always taken care of my computers over the years. Every time I have a problem they take care of it that day. As a small business owner Altec has saved me hundreds of dollars in lost time.

Altec has a ton of cool parts and pieces for you computer. They are a great company to work with and I have never had a problem with their refurbished computers. Keep up the good work guys!

purchased 2 "new" laptop computers.was told they were purchased by a local company who discovered they were not compatible with their office set up and were unused. gave as presents 45 days later-1 had the hard drive go out almost immediately. they were in fact used computers, factory warranty was void and altec only warrantied for 90 days. huge loss of money. new hard drive more then computer worth. went to staples spent about the same and got a extended 3 yr warranty

I had a really good experience at Altec. The staff is knowlegdable and friendly; and the service guys really know what they're doing.

The service at Altec is very quick thorough and affordable. I was very pleased that they took care of everything I needed and were very concerned with making sure they understood my problems. I liked that I was able to talk to the techs there. They were very down to earth and conscience of how to explain things in terms I would understand. :D

I've had work done by the S. Campbell store w/excellent results. Would recommend these guys to any person who is sick & tired of being abused by bigger, corporate stores.

Altec is the best computer repair store in Springfield.

After years of buying off of the shelf at Best Buy and screaming in frustration when I paid the bill for Geek Squad to fix my computer, I decided to try a local computer shop. I shopped around the local shops and was not impressed until I walked in to Altec Computers. The selection was great and they seem to have something for everyone. Even better, I checked their service rates and their service prices are way lower than Geek Squad. The staff was very knowledgeable and no matter what the question, someone on their staff knew the answer. I bought a new custom built gaming machine from them and it is awesome. The computer comes with a three year warranty and I didn't even have to stand in line and have the Best Buy guy tell me how stupid I am if I don't buy their extended warranty.

We had another local computer company coming to our business and servicing our computer equipment. Everytime they would come out and "fix" something, something else would be messed up. Because we are a business we couldn't have these kinds of problems so we decided to try another company out. An employee had purchased a computer from Altec and told us of his great expierence with them. We decided to give them a try. They were very professional and quick to respond to our service calls. We now buy all of our equipment from them and they do all of our service. We are Very happy that we chose to go to Altec. They are unlike any other computer company in Springfield. I highly recommend them!

Undoubtedly, the best computer store in Springfield! I dropped of my computer, was greeted quickly and they had an opening for my computer immediately. The best part is that they called me within 4 hours to tell me that they had already fixed it! They charged me a meager $55 to fix what every other place in town wanted to charge me $75 + just to look at it! Great deal and Great Service! Thanks, Altec.

My mother-in-law had a lot of pictures on her laptop of all of her grandchildren. Well she got a virus and her laptop was crashing all the time, so we took her laptop back to the place that she bought it Best Buy (evil). After waiting in line for half and hour they told us that it would take 3-4 weeks minimum and it would cost $300 to fix the laptop and another $500 to retrieve the data from the laptop (ridiculous), she only paid $800 for the laptop to begin with in 2006. So as we were driving back home we heard on the radio an advertisement for Altec Computer Solutions and we didn't live very far from their South location (3845 S. Campbell across from Krispy Kreme) so we decided to stop by just to see how much it would cost. Their sales guys were extremely knowledgeable and very nice. They took the laptop over to the service counter and had their service guy look at it for a few minutes, took some of our information down and we left the laptop there. We got a call the very next day letting us know that the laptop was finished and that all of her data had been saved and was now back on the laptop as if nothing had ever happened. They only charged us $110 for everything. Since then we have come to Altec for everything. My birthday is coming up in two weeks and I'm having them build me a new computer, exciting.
