Was advised poorly concerning how to manage my account with them. More importantly, their office left me without insurance for a time without ever telling me or discussing the hold-up (it was supposed to be a seamless change in the kind of insurance I was purchasing with them). The gap cost me hundreds and they refused to take responsibility. Considering this and their failure to advise me in an insightful/helpful way makes for a terrible mix. Choose another agent, Burlin Hefley is a poor choice and will likely cost you money if you ever end up needing them.

Provided by YP.comI am very satified with Burlin Hefley's office & the staff. All of the girls are very friendly, knowledgeable & always willing to take time to explain my coverages. I have referred many friends & family members to his office & will continue to in the future.

Provided by YP.comWe have had Burlin Hefley State Farm Ins for 33 years, both our families had Burlin while we were growing up so I must say we go way back. We have never had any trouble with getting paid for claims and I agree with the reviews all the "girls" in the office are very friendly and helpful BUT their follow through is NOT good. My complaint is any time I make a change to any of my insurances it is never done correctly the first time it will take several months of getting incorrect things in the mail and phone calls before it gets corrected. Over the years we have had several issues that made us want to locate a different State Farm agent but we haven't up until this last issue: When we received our homeowners insurance I noticed that the value was way too high. I questioned one of the girls in the office and after some research on her part agreed that it should be lower (saving us over $300.00 per year) In December I sent in the reduced premium! March rolls around and I receive 2 notices that I owe $332.00 on my home owners insurance. What!!! I am being told that the underwriter thought that it should be valued at more than what I was told. Burlin gets involved and assures me that I have insurance and everything is okay. Now I might owe about $50.00 REALLY how do I know that is even going to be correct. Well yesterday I get two letters from my mortgage company saying that I have to pay my homeowners insurance. If Burlin's office had just notified me back in January that the value of the home was not going to work all of this could have been avoided. I think it is time to find a new agent!!!!!
My office has always strived to provide the best possible service and has always gone out of the way to correct any problems that may arise. Sometimes it just takes time. Out of 17,000 agents with State Farm, our agency is the only agency in SW Missouri that can say we always finish in the top 50 in production and service. Again, I pride myself with my team. They provide excellent service. Our agency survey shows 99.99% of our policyholders are happy with our service. However, I have learned that you cannot be all things for all people. With State Farm, you are welcome to choose any agent you prefer for service, but most of our policyholders who transfer elsewhere want to come back to us in a year's time.

Provided by YP.comSeveral insurance agencies don't take the time to explain coverage to young drivers. I've been with Burlin's office since I was 16, and they've always been there to explain anything I need help with. They made sure I was receiving all of the discounts possible, and they walked me through my coverage when I was in my first accident. All of the girls in the office are extremely friendly! They take all of your questions to heart, and they'll give you advice on what they would do in your situation. I would definitely recommend Burlin and his staff to anyone!

Provided by YP.comI was a customer with state farm for 10 yrs. I filed one claim for roof damage, now they have cancled my home owners policy. No one from his office bothered to call and let me know that there was a problem or offer a solution to this problem!!! I was informed by a letter letting me know that my policy would be terminated in one month, this is what being a loyal customer at Burlin Hefleys will get you.
We apologize for your negative experience. Cancelling policies because of one claim is not the track record of State Farm Insurance. When we know of a policy being unrenewed because of claims, we try to make a special effort to offer a solution for a renewal. When this occurs, we also encourage policyholders to call us, and we offer a free insurance review.
