Me and my wife just bought a great 2004 Trailblazer from them. It had a few issues, but they fixed them all at no cost to us. The sales lady was really nice, along with all the staff. Carmart is the place to go if you need a car, truck, or van. And don't let me forget to let me tell you I only paid $199 down.

This place doesn't deserve one star! We put money down on a car & it lasted 3 days! They had us take it to midas and after 3 times of trying to fix it they figured out the engine was bad. I spoke to the GM, J.D. about how unhappy i was because he sold me a lemon & he blamed my husband for not being a mechanic & said "you're blaming me for selling you a crap car, when you have 3 pointing back at yourself!" He was very rude & condescending. After speaking with his boss Jacob, he admitted not only does J.D. not know anything about cars, but that nobody there does. They gave us the option of putting us in another car, which why would we get another car from them if its going to be junk, or wait a few days to put another engine in the one we just put money down for. We decided to wait the few days & get a different engine put in. Well a few days, has now turned into a few weeks & not once did they offer to put us in a rental so that we're able to care for our 3 girls, & get to work. They've really put us in a bind & dont care. I have 3 kids to care for & need a car. Whatever you do DO NOT go to Car Mart. They have no business working with cars considering they know nothing about them. They also have the rudest people working in customer service. That J.D. is pretty cocky for a guy who doesn't know what he's talking about. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. They also messed with the odometer reading & just made a number up. These people are cons.

So far so good. A lot of the complaints seem to be from people who couldn't pay their bills or didn't take long enough inspecting the car. Prices are a bit high, but thats expected since pretty much anyone can walk in there with a downpayment and drive out with a car.

I love the SUV I bought from them. I was a little surprised about having to pay sales tax but it will be okay. The tires on the truck aren't great, but will last through winter. Every single thing works on it. All fluids were checked and they were at fill level perfectly.

I want to hurry up and get my tax return to put down more money on the truck and get my payments lowered. There are many options to get the payments where you'd like. The staff are really friendly too and didn't pressure us into buying anything.

I purchased a truck from them and what a mistake that was. I should have walked away 1/2 way through the paperwork when it was one person after another that had to keep coming in asking the same questions over and over. There never ending reference requirements, when you give them the number they want, then they want more, which lets me real they only use those to track you down if you don't make your payments and disappear with their vehicle, but they go to long lengths to tell you of the gps tracking device on your vehicle and grounds for immediate repossession if you remove it. They added the worthless warrantee without ever asking if I wanted it and including it in my balance due, then when the first thing went wrong I found out it basically doesn't cover anything and they require you to bring it to them for their mechanics to look at it and repair it. Since I have moved out of MO it took talking to and the threat of attorney to get them to honor the warrantee since I had to take it somewhere other than to them. They also do not actually pay for the repairs you have to and then they credit your account for the difference between their "approved" costs for the repair and your deductible. I have paid out over $2,500 in repairs in less than 4 months and not been reimbursed for over half of it. The phone calls (up to 6 a day) will start the day your payment is due to both you and the list of references you provided, and if you are late so much as a day they will increase to around 12 a day. Be sure and watch your bank statement since starting with my $600 down payment and a couple payments since they have taken it out of my bank account twice and have no way of refundig it, claiming it has to be a check from their corporate office and how it is just easier to apply it to your account. I am not a deadbeat customer, my truck has not been repossesed I still have it and my payments are current, but I sure wish I had never gotten involved with this company and working to refinance it through my bank and pay them off and be done with them. Am sure there are many other options for people in the Springfield area to get a car without getting mixed up with these losers.

Purchased a truck from them. ...

Purchased a truck from them. After test driving it, the fuel light was on the whole time and the salesman didn't have money (he was new). Got back to the office and starting with the paper work. I asked the sales manager if he would put some gas in it. He said no, that they considered it day one buy in. Should have quit right there but no, I didn't. So I take it to the gas station and low and behold, there is a MAJOR hole in the tank. Color me surprised! And because they "gave me a break on the down payment" it wasn't covered under the 3 days bring it back period. The warranty doesn't cover gas tanks. Now, the transmission is out and they dont answer their phones....Hmmmmmmmmm I see attorney general calls in my future. So if you want to deal with a car dealer that will lie to your face, by all means go here.

NOT HAPPY

When we first got to car mart, they were extremely nice. We were looking at a truck. We loved the Dakota they showed us. We sat down with a gentleman named Stan. He figured out or bi-weekly payments and they were a little to pricey for us. We left. After less then 5 minutes we were back lol, we decided to look at the cars they had to see if we found anything we liked there. We found a 2003 ford focus, we liked it. Sat back down with Stan. He started our paper work, copied all our drivers licenses and he asked me to write down 10 references, including, name address phone number job info and how they are related to my husband or myself. So I wrote down 10 references. Gave them to Stan. He began typing them up. Printed it out and some other paperwork as well. My husband and I looked it over and initialled and signed where we were told too. Stan walked out of the room with the paperwork, came back in and asked if we had any in town references, which we dont! We have only lived here for one month, we dont know anybody! When we said no, he left again and a guy named Josh came in and said that we had to come up with 4 local references. When we told him we had none, he said that we needed to start going to our neighbors and knocking on their doors asking them and that my husband needed to ask the people from his job. When I said that we had one neighbor that we had their address but not their number, I asked if I could call in with the number tomorrow, and he said no. We had to leave after 2 hours of sitting there. No car. Nothing! He told us that once we had gotten 4 local references then to come back. Nobody bothered to tell us in the beginning that they had to be local. I am not about to go knocking on the neighbors doors asking if I can use them as a reference, these people are high! If I didnt talk to my neighbors before, what makes them think I would go ask to use them as a reference?? I will never ever go back and I will make sure to tell everyone I can to stay away from this crap hole! I wouldnt even give it one star, but I had too!
