I've taken my dogs and cats there to be groomed. They've always done a wonderful job and have always been very professional. I will always recommend them!

I Jan herself told me she had over 3000 customers and when I sent my student to school she wasn't able to get a single terrier in for him to learn breed cuts. I am a groomer that is well established for 10 years now. Where we groom we have a lot of terriers and Shih Tzus. She didn't care. She only wanted him to learn how to groom Poodles and Bichons. I think if I am going to spend $3000 on schooling, it better be for what my shop needs. I didn't want the added headache of teaching, so I sent my student to Springfield (100 miles away from his family mind you). Needless to say that I was so unhappy with their lack of communication, yelling at their dogs, talking trash behind their actual sfaffed Grooms, and not teaching my student the basics of all breeds, I decided that I will just finish his teachings. I will not send my up and coming bather to her. She'll end up in St. Louis or I will teach her myself.

I am one of the instructors at Jan's Grooming, were we teach high-end grooming and hand scissoring breed cuts and creative grooming. We have seen several groomers go through the school and go on to be successful groomers and business owners. We have also seen several people go through the school and didn't make it as groomers for several reasons, found out they did not like the animals, couldn't get the hang of scissoring or already knew it all and couldn't wait to get out there and earn the big bucks, so quit the school early, then get in the real world and wished they had stayed and learn all they could. If you would like to learn how to groom from someone with 50+ years of experience, come and check us out. If you already know everything, then go buy a pair of clippers, hang a shingle, and be like 98% of the groomers, you can make the bucks but wouldn't you rather take pride in your work
