I give this place only one star (simply because at the very least the food was "edible"). Otherwise, the entire experience was terrible!!!!! The burrito was under-seasoned & bland with a small portion size & a scant half of a handful of chips. However, the worst was the Huevos Rancheros & their nacho chips. The Huevos appeared just like it tasted: "slop." It was severely undercooked & underseasoned with no distinct or unique flavor. The chips were OK; but the cheese was simply inedible. It was mostly a watered-down concoction of soup that was somehow suppose to resemble cheese. Plus, the whole side dish was severely overpriced ($3.00? are you kidding me). The salsas at the bar were meh! at best; while the the pickled carrot, onion & jalapeno mix was very good. Past the payment/counter area the soda fountain, bar & restrooms was obviously uncleaned (full of dirt & grime). But, at least the seating area was somewhat well managed!!!!! Speed of service was unreasonably slow (since there was only just two other people besides us there that day). The overall vibe gives off the expectation that a tip is required. That is a major put-off for those who want to receive a great service & amazing food in exchange for their generosity. That is not a compliment; but a major turn-off. I recommend far better Mexican restaurants here in town that make your food to order, are prompt in their service & deliver visually appealing food that tastes great with tremendous flavor (can anyone guess what I am talking about?). This place gets an D+ for its effort; but an F on its quality of food, cleanliness, speed of service & overall vibe. I will not be returning!!!!!
