Provided by YP.comMy husband and I started working for The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek before they opened their doors. In the beginning everything was great. Now they are no different than any other nursing facility. They treat their employees like dirt. My husband was working 2 jobs. Third shift at Quail Creek then he'd deliver mail the next morning. He got offered a different position at the Post Office and decided to take it and put in his 2 week notice. He was working both jobs back to back for several days in a row and physically couldn't do it anymore and quit 4 days before his notice was up. We were aware that any unpaid wages would be dropped down to minimum wage (which I think is unfair considering that CNA's don't get paid enough as it is). During this time the company had already cut my husband a check (before he quit) and it was waiting for him to pick up. When he received it he didn't get the original check he was supposed to get. The administrator Michelle Brown (who's already been under investigation for ethics) decided to personally write him a check with $250 less than what he was supposed to get. We couldn't believe it. The company had already paid him! What she did was dirty. We have 4 children and two are having a party this weekend. She not only stole from my husband, but she stole from my kids. He still had another check he needed to pick up and that was the one that was expected to be garnished. I don't see how they can do this. Of course corporate big wigs could care less about a CNA. They are all about the money. If they treat their employees poorly then how do you think they will take care of the residents? In the end it's the residents who suffer because nobody will want to work there with the way they treat people. Even if what they did was "legally" right its unethical and lacks in integrity. There are some great employees at Quail Creek who deserve better than this. I don't understand how they can be in the business of helping people then do them this way. Don't let the fancy building fool you. The people running it are crooks.
