Finding the right chop shop isn’t just about those striped poles and combs soaked in jars of blue Barbacide. The bottom line is, if you want a quality haircut from a place with tons of repeat customers, look no further, you can call off the posse.



At Kris’ Family Barbershop, headed by Kris and his wife, Monica, the first thing you notice is the friendliness of the staff. After a visit or two, almost reminiscent of ‘Cheers’, they remember their clientele: your name, your head. Despite the fact Kris has been cutting my hair for a dozen years, every time I take my seat in the modernized, yet iconic, barber’s chair, the same question is proffered: the usual?



Testament to the high level of customer service, the staff is purely client centric, with quality, top service and of utmost importance, consistency. Scissors, buzzer or both, the finishing touch a clean up with warmed shave cream and a fresh straight edged razor; the very same technique used for a hot-toweled shave or those chrome domed.



Great cut, service and value. While other amenities of a full service salon are available, for those expecting an espresso during their wait or other atmospheric trappings of big buck salons should look elsewhere. However, if current events, sports or the conversation de jour along with up to date magazines, daily newspapers and Wi-Fi sound appealing, you get all of the above and the reason you went in the first place – a really good cut.

This is an unpretentious shop that offers traditional barbershop services. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer and do their best to meet the needs of their customers. That they have so many locals as regular customers speaks of just how well liked the shop is.
