The Springfield Symphony Orchestra (SSO) was founded in 1943. Music Director Peter Stafford Wilson conducts 72 of the area's finest professional musicians in a six-concert subscription series and free outreach performances. The SSO’s exciting programming and superb guest artists have gained the enthusiasm of audiences throughout each season. Performances are held in the state-of-the-art Clark State Performing Arts Center, which features easy access and free parking.
