So, now that another Target opened up less than a half mile away(at the Sprinfield Mall), this one has re-organized and remodeled. The toy selection has dwindled down considerably...I went there today hoping I would find a high-quality (read "not plastic", perhaps hardwood with an innovative design...you know, the sort of thing Target used to be known for),and could find nothing suitable. All the toys have been replaced with food.

This mediocre "grocery" section boasts hardly any produce, or minimal fresh anything. To top it off, and this may sound paranoid, but I think they have an over-zealous, or at least easily distracted security department. On a trip a few months ago, there was one employee who asked me if I needed help...to which I replied ..."No"...a few aisles later this same employee asked me the same thing...to which I replied..."No, uhh, you just asked me that.." it was an awkward moment. Anyway it creeped me out... I felt like he was following me. As it didn't seem like he was following me out of puppy love...well, all I can say is...if they have a problem at that store with theft then it is evident why...they are following the wrong people!

The floor staff seems to be relatively clueless about what is in their own department...a trip to the beauty section in search of a specific product, left me waiting and walking in circles with the woman for at least 5 minutes...while she unconfidently meandered around musing as to whether they had the product or not. Finally the answer was, "I don't know, I don't think so". " Hmmm...you do have access to this information, right? You do work here,right"... is what I was thinking. Instead of saying this I merely thanked her...

This store used to be pretty decent. Since their re-organization and my experiences with inept staff, I will have to trek over to the behometh at the Springfield mall.
