Provided by YP.comI had a chunk of asphalt from 495 get kicked up by a truck. It shot across my windshield and impacted the glass just at the vertical pillar. Needless to say a huge crack started and went across my line of sight. It was about 10 inches from the pillar to the center of the windshield. This was not going to be an a repair job. The windshield would require replacing.
I searched around the NOVA, (I'm out in Manassas) and read reviews on each auto glass provider. I thought safelight would be good but the reviews did not rate them as such. Other places had horrible response times and had bad reviews concerning bring the right windshield out. I decided to go with APEX.
I called APEX yesterday evening around 1730. I was able to contact their office and was able to get an appointment scheduled the very next morning. I gave the office my cars make model and other information required. APEX said they had the glass in stock. I was given a two hour window, 10:00 to 12:00 for the tech to arrive. Understandable as driving in the DC area is a crap shoot with traffic. I was very pleased I could get an appointment so quick.
The tech called me in the morning to say he was coming out. He arrived at 10:30. Right on time. We discussed the procedure. He explained everything he needed to do. He had the correct windshield and went to work right away. I asked if he could ensure my inspection sticker and ez pass could be transferred, he said he would do so. After talking with him, I appreciated the fact that he answered all my questions . I gained the impression that he was a professional and knew his business.
After about an hour and 20 minutes, the glass was done. The ez pass was in place as was the inspection sticker. The car was good to go. He briefed me up on the rules for allowing the cure of the adhesive and not to wash the car for at 24 hours. No worries there. No glass slivers, or other mess on the dash. He cleaned the glass inside and out. Basically, you could not even tell there was anything done on the car. Just as it should be. Once again a sign of a Pro.
Overall, I am totally happy with the service APEX provided. From the very start to the finish. I found the service to be outstanding. Prompt answering of the call, a quick arrangement to get scheduled. On time arrival, fast replacement and most importantly, a well done job. The cost was reasonable in comparison to other vendors. All I can say is: If you drive around here and get cracked windshield, call APEX. The service was great. I shall recommend them to my friends if they encounter the same problem.
