I am writing this email due to the fact I have had my car since March 18th and it has been in the shop since March 20th.. When i first came home I put my car through MD inspection of course it did not pass, needed 2 rear tires, sticker off front window, parking lights replace, and Air Bags did not work in car which was a major issue. My cost to just get it through MD inspection was a total of $1356.98.. REALLY how crazy is that. I spent over 9000.00 to just buy the car and put 4500.00 down on the car in cash to then have to put another 1356.98 in the car to just get it through MD inspection. Once I completed the MD inspection i didn't make it out of the shop driveway and my car died, HUH!!! they towed it back to shop to tell me now it needs a alternator, which by the way runs over 650.00 for the part and about 500.00 just in labor so another 1500.00 into this car that i have only drove 1 day since i bought it March 18th how crazy is that. They have not help me fix anything

Do not buy from them. They are dishonest. Only gave 1 star because it was required to submit. They lie

Listen I debated placing a review in here but my story needs to be read. I bought a car from this dealership (without getting it checked out, my mistake for sure). They sold me on the vehicle and refused to give wiggle room on the vehicle as it was close to KBB value. Great I'm getting a good car at value, (or so we thought)! My first warning was an engine light two days later, 2nd warning get is that we couldn't pass the omissions test due to a missing part. Haha a missing part isn't the worse problem. A week later we got it checked out and there was a cracked in the transmission, and a seal broken behind the transmission. So there was a recorded, checked by two separate locations, repair cost around of $8000-9000. This is on top of my 7200 loan not counting cash I paid as a down payment to the dealership. Absolutely terrible, meanwhile my family had to deal with this while I was away. Pregnant wife and two toddlers trying to figure out what to do, wife called CARSTAR and got the real quick reply of as is. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. 3 THINGS TO REMEMBER:

1. Carstar gives no f $!@S about you just the dollar, so get your vehicle checked out before purchase.

2. Don't post a review until you've had the vehicle a month at least, they offer you a gift card or cash for a 5 star review before you leave. You don't believe me look at every 5 star review on all sites haha, hustlers to the core.

3. Don't surrender so quick to the availability look around there are many dealerships that I want to do business with you.

Love, love my 2007 BMW!!! it's in remarkable condition, the service was excellent and they attended to all of my needs. They made the financing process really easy, not like the other dealers I have been dealing with. Buying a car can be very stressful, but these people made so easy for me, that I would definitively recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you Jeff for all your help!!

Jeff is a stand up guy. We contacted him via email when we located the car we were interested in. He responded promptly and answered all of our questions. We went to meet Jeff and view the car. The car was clean and free of dents or scratches as advertised. We received a friendly greeting upon arrival and he was not the usual pushy salesman. He allowed us to test drive the car and once we returned he simply asked if the car met our satisfaction. We pointed out a few items of concern and he simply stated that he would have it corrected. We were totally impressed with his service and we will definitely purchase from Jeff again!

Was looking for a second vehicle as a commuter. Did some research found a vehicle online. Emailed these guys they were very quick and responded pretty quickly. Set up an appointment test drove the vehicle. Everything went well on the test drive. Signed paper work and drove off. They did all of my DMV paper work also. Great experience was hesitant to buy from a used car dealership, but these guys were very honest and their vehicle are pretty good. Thanks Shaw and Carstar for everything.

I came here to buy a car for my son. They make you feel very comfortable and confident when in the cars. The staff was very helpful especially Jeff, he took me to test drive all the way to my town he took his time to help find the right car, they also let me take the car to the mechanics for them to check it out. Ended out purchasing and my sons loving it! I bought it 3 weeks ago and no problems! Thank you

Finally found a little honda for our daughter. Looking from Woodbridge to Fredericksburg and were able to end our search at Car Star. Thanks!!!

Purchased my S2k from these guys. The car was flawless except for the top which they were in the process of repairing. By the time my financing went through, they had my brand new top installed. Great guys and they really are car enthusiasts.

DO NOT BUY, it is this simple with this place. Please do not ignore and think it won't happen to you. Buy a car here and you will make a new friend, a mechanic who will always be fixing your new car.

...because apparently we purchased a LEMON! Bought a 98 Durango from this place. Of expected some problems but not the laundry list of issues that keeps growing. From the ILLEGAL TINT on the windshield and doors, faulty brake & exhaust system, broken heating coil, etc. And now we can add alternator b/c the piece of junk won't start. How this vehicle was allowed to pass inspection and be sold in the state of VA is beyond me. My husband has been in touch w/ the dealership who has promised to fix everything but is now getting the run around. Because I had to put my children in danger driving around in the death-trap that you sold us after less than TWO WEEKS of having it, I will be following this review up with a report to the BBB. Other potential buyers, Please Beware!

Freaking awesome awesome place! They really helped me out. Got my old car traded and was able to get my new baby blue Infinit G35. I really loved how the guys treat their customers. Go there and buy a car now!!!

That this was a great place and very helpful the experience was very honest which unfortunately has become taboo for other car dealerships. I was given a CarFax for my car as well as dealt with a salesperson that was very familiar and well informed with the car. I was surprised to the honesty given to me when making decisions regarding finance, especially since they were able to advise me to go through my local credit union which saved me about $50 a month. Good group of guys that made the process as streamlined as buying a car can get. I will be sure to check from them my next go around in buying a car.

I had an amazing experience at this Dealership! I really like the way they care for the customer. They told me they are going to make sure that they change the way most people think about the car buying process. I commend them for this.
