Provided by YP.comI was in need of a repair for my blower fan on my car this last Friday as it was beginning to squeal. I called into Halterman's and spoke with one of the mechanics and got ASAP for the next day. They fit me in right away in the morning as it is clearly important to have a blower fan for your car in the middle of January.
Great people, very pleased

Provided by YP.comI had a great experience with the mechanic at Stanley Truck Sales. I was traveling along Hwy. 29 from St. Paul, MN to Upper Michigan. My Check Engine light was on and when I stopped for gas in Stanley, there was some difficulty re-starting the car. I was told that Chad, the mechanic and son of the owner, could do a diagnostic for me to determine the problem. He found the MAP sensor to be my problem but couldn't locate the part to repair it that day, but reassured me that I would be OK to continue my trip.. One week later, I returned to St. Paul and had the MAP sensor replaced without going through a much more expensive diagnostic. I found Chad to be a very helpful, friendly and competent mechanic. And it was a pleasure meeting and talking with his dad. When you're on the highway, hundreds of miles from home, it sure is reassuring to know there are good people out there to help you through a bad situation. -Mike B. St. Paul, MN

Provided by YP.comWithout a doubt, the worst dealing I've ever had with a "professional." I bought a car from a co-owner of this place, and I was not only lied to but lives were potentially put at risk. The frame was welded and repaired in the back to hide the fact that the middle of the frame was rusted through to the point that the car was literally at risk of falling apart at any time.
I was assured there were no problems with the car, but I only drove 30 miles before the alternator went bad. I was assured that new brake lines had recently been installed, but they were all in need of replacement. Corroding wires created problems with the headlights and the battery. After rolling the windows down they wouldn't go back up!
This guy lied and cheated to the point that it would have been comical if it hadn't been dangerous. And again, it was completely covered up. I would never, EVER use their "service" again. The only caveat is that the co-owner sold the vehicle as an individual, but our guess is that this was done to avoid liability issues.
Absolutely terrible
