Provided by YPmobileIf you can, go elsewhere because the eye doctor is the biggest jerk I've ever met. I chose him because he accepted my eye insurance and boy was that a bad idea! Even with eye insurance, I ended up paying over $300 out of pocket for my eye exam and glasses. On top of that, I needed a contract exam because my previous prescription expired. It took him 3 times of me taking a trial pair of contacts home, wearing them for a week and then returning to the office to see if they fit, to get the right pair. Finally, by the third pair, I could finally see. He then informed me that a box for each eye was going to cost $250, which was going to be out of pocket because I already maxed out my insurance on glasses and the basic eye exam. I have worn contacts (and have had astigmatism which makes them more expensive) for over 15 years and have never, ever paid nearly that much. I use to get all my eye exams and contacts at costco (costco does not take insurance which is why I tried this new place) so I took the packages of my trial contacts to them and checked to see what they charge. They told me $50 a box. That's over $75 difference per box. So when I came back in I kindly let him know that I would like a copy of my prescription because I planned on buying them somewhere else. He literally yelled at me and said that he did not spend all that time fitting me for contacts for me to purchase them elsewhere and that if it was my intention to get them somewhere else, I shouldn't even have gotten a contract exam with him and wasted his time. He also said that if I didn't buy them from him, that made my prescription "null n' void. " I felt so belittled, shocked and as if I had done some thing wrong that I said I guess I have no other choice then to purchase them from him. So I said go ahead and order them. Throughout the day I talked to people about what happened and got on over whelming reply of how wrong this was and that it was actually illegal for him to not give me my prescription (after all, I paid for the contact exam.) It's like anything in your medical records, you have the right to have copies. I went back in a few hours later, armed with this knowledge, and asked again for my prescription. When I told him I paid for the exam and I had the right to it, he said he was going to refund the cost of the exam and that I was not getting the prescription. He then told me that the trial contacts that I had in no longer belonged to me since I wasn't paying for his service and told me I had to take them out. He said the trials cost $250 and I didn't pay him that. Looking back now I probably should have not taken them out but he made his secretary stand there and watch me to be sure I got them out. I wasn't sure if I'd actually have to pay for the contacts either so I just did as I was told. (My trials have always been free in the past.) So I basically had my contacts repo'd. Awesome! So here it is, a month after I first saw this eye doctor, and I still have no contacts. I'll now be going to costco like I probably should have in the first place. Dr. Timothy Nixion is a bully with bad business practices and I will be reporting him. Trust me, go elsewhere (and read the other reviews; I'm not the only one.)

Provided by YP.comyou are gonna find those glasses you want here, I did. :-) And Dr. Nixon also found out right away the problem with the contacts I was wearing, and now I can wear these all day, no problems. I will recommend this clinic to everyone.

Provided by YP.comThis doctor is abusive. I was horrified at the way he treats his patients. He is condescending, impatient, and cruel. His prescription for the glasses was inaccurate because he didn't take the time to actually fine-tune the necessary adjustments to the lenses. The office is dark, creepy, and uncomfortable. The prices for his hardware are outlandish, but none of that is as horrifying as having an optometrist forcefully grab your face and shove something in your eye without warning while yelling at you to HOLD STILL!
