Stanwood High School has an enrollment of more than 1,600 students in grades nine through 12. The school provides advanced placement classes in economics, government, chemistry, statistics, English and computer science. Its fine arts department provides classes in ceramics, photography, and interior and fashion design. Stanwood High school offers various special educational classes in cosmetology, data processing, food services, criminal justice and fire fighting. Additionally, it offers technical education, including agriculture, health occupations, business and industrial technology, and visual communications and work-based learning. Stanwood High School has theater, music and a career counseling department. The school s sport activities include football, basketball, tennis, wrestling, soccer and hockey. The school is approved by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and is located in Stanwood, Wash.
