Went to the ER last night because my doctor wouldn't see me and I must admit did not want to go but too sick to drive to Gainesville. I was greeted professionally with a smile was treated within 30 minutes by the best doctor I think her name is Jenny Dodson but was too sick to ask. That is the name on my prescriptions. The entire staff worked together I was treated x-rays and released feeling MUCH better in less than 2 hours. Thanks so much I will be back if needed. But hopefully not soon. LOL If you have bad memories like me try them again I hope you are as pleased as I was.

Staff in Er was really nice and helpful. When i got admitted that was different story. Some of staff up here was rude . They put stuff on your medicine list they dont even give you. They try give me stuff for smoking amd i dont smoke. I came in with chest and arm pain shortness of breathe and they give me oxygen amd tell me i hope that helps with pain. I had send my husbamd to get me Tylenol from store the pressure and pain was so bad. This place needs major help.. Cardiologist is awesome thou ...Needs improving before they can call theirself a hospital..

The reception was really rude about question, she ask if my huaband still in the army and what branch his in, i told her my husband is medically retired from the army. She respond I DON'T CARE!! i was kind a shocked and being treat like nothing.....my ear is swollen and the only gave me a pain meds and drops. Nothing work, it got worst now I'm heading to Northflorida

I went to this hospital with pain in my heart and sick at my stomach I was thinking I might have a heart attack but when the doctor came in he says you look nervous do you have a anxiety problem and told the nurse to test me for drugs wth I look nervous because im scared im having a heart attack I only give it a 2 because the nurse was nice or it would get 1

Just have signed out ama from this facility. Cant even call it a hospital. This must be the only job the staff could get. Food is horrible. No assistance and I only had one arm. The staff hides out and you can can't get care. I was given a pediatric spiromtter following surgery. Guess the posers of Resp Therapy didn't realize my daughter is a cert resp therapist. Lots of foreign doctors on staff who knows if they even have a med degree. If you value your life, stay far away from this place,

My 17 year old son layed in the Shands Starke ER w/ a dislocated shoulder for more than 2 hours before they could find the staff to sedate him and relocate his shoulder. There is something wrong with this picture. The ER is full of nuts w/stomach aches and sore throats and it takes them 2 hours to deal with an emergency. This is totally uncalled for, especially for an organization affiliated with Shands. If I could I would rate with zero stars.

I was a patient at Shands of Starke in July of 2008, I had a great experience. The nursing staff is quite knowlegable and caring. My physician was great as well as compassionate. He called after my discharge to see if I was o.k. The best part of the stay was I was treated as family and everyone knew my name. I would go back again and again. Very Very Clean.
