Founded in 1930, the Starkville Fire Department provides a range of fire protection services to the residents of the City of Starkville in Mississippi. It offers fire fighting services through training, fire prevention, inspection and investigation programs. The department operates more than four fire stations and provides fire suppression, hazardous materials disposal, high-angle and confined space rescue and medical response services. The Starkville Fire Department s Fire Marshal s Division is responsible for code enforcement, fire inspection, preplanning, investigation, open burning, and assisting the fire chief and other departmental personnel in support capacities. Its Public Education and Inspection Division oversees the training and educational programs for the public.
