We went to Prospectors as a party of 6 (4 adults, two children) for "Kids Magic Night". First there was a 30 min wait even though PLENTY of seating was available. Maybe they were short on waitresses.... ok, we dealt. We were seated, had our drinks served and orders taken. 15 minutes after that, the waitress came back and told us that the food is going to take a little bit and "thanks for being patient" then disappeared. 20 minutes later, same thing, "it's going to be awhile". The magician was wondering around entertaining adult tables even though it was easy to see the kids were getting extremely impatient. Come on, it's KIDS NIGHT. When the food finally arrived, some was cold, some was burnt. The rest of the food tasted pretty good. Overall, we were there almost 3 hours total. We have eatten here several times, both in and as take-out, and we usually have the same kind of experiences... pretty good food, horrible service. This last time was it. Never again!

Good place to get together w/ friends; nightly entertainment; decent prices

I Love B-B-Q! I've had bbq from as far north as Vermont to as far south as Georgia. The ribs and their "HAWG WINGS" which is a style of chop are so moist and fall apart tender. Not too smokey either, just right.
